    Reception staff attentive, efficient and friendly. Sorted my query quickly and were super helpful in arranging my daughter’s temporary resident status.

    Firstly, the medical care once I got to it was spot on - the problem is accessing medical attention. I spoke to a receptionist at 8am to try to see a GP, I was told my call would be triaged and someone would call me back. Four and a half hours later still no call. I went to the surgery to be informed no appointments were available, then in the same breath that I was on a 'list' and I was booked in that afternoon. At no point was this information conveyed to me. I despair at the stress this attitude must cause someone with a sick child, or fragile elderly relative. I have written to the practice manager to voice my concerns, but a week on, have yet to have a response. In the past, I have received inessential calls regarding updating my mobile number etc, so shortage of staff can hardly be an issue.

    Dear patient Thank you for your feedback. The partners at the practice have seen your complaint and we asked the practice manager to fully investigate this for us. I understand she has sent a response within the appropriate timescale to inform you that we will investigate your claims. I am sorry that you feel you didn't get a good service from the practice. We have been through the call log and listened to the conversations with regards your claims. The practice manager is in the process of preparing a full response to come to you.     I have just moved away from Formby and the Village Surgery. During my time in Formby the experience I have had at the Village Surgery has always been excellent. My named Doctor was exceptional nothing was too much trouble. He always had time to listen and to go above and beyond. The Reception staff were helpful and obliging. The Surgery has strived over the years to improve the appointment process to meet greater demands on clinical and non clinical staff. The recent introduction of improved online consult form and the triage system has in my view been a great improvement. Thank you to all the staff.

    Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to each member of staff that i have had the pleasure to deal with over the last few days/weeks. This was while trying to assist my mum who’s health has deteriorated quickly. Each one of you, despite being under your own busy demands, has taken time to listen to me and understand my mums symptoms. During this stressful period you have provide calmness and empathy when needed. This has culminated in mums Dr giving precise instructions that will hopefully provide a route to recovery for my mum. Dr your staff have gone above and beyond any expectations. Thank you.

    I would like to thank all the staff at Freshfield surgery for the fantastic care and treatment given to both my parents, particularly my mother. Thank you for listening and then giving the correct care that was needed. We as a family really appreciate the service.

    Put in my prescription 10.10.22 They state it takes 48 hours for the scrip t to be ready. Contacted the pharmacy on 15.10. Meds not ready. Why? Because the practice didnt send the script over till 15.10. Asked a receptionist why this happened. Her reply " I dont know" Asked if I could pick up future scripts in person,was told" no you cant?

    Thank you for your feedback. I apologise for your experience. We process a huge number of prescriptions every day and on occasions things do go wrong. I am sorry to hear of the delay in your case. I would be happy to look into this with you if you want to contact the surgery to discuss with the practice manager.
