Review titled Poor service.
by SophieK - Posted on 24 October 2022
This is the second time I am writing about this surgery and only the second time I have had telephone contact with this surgery in years. I waited the usual month for my 10-minute telephone appointment to get results (which were all normal so could have simply been told to me by someone other than a doctor where maybe I didn’t have to wait a month). I was on the phone for 2mins 17 secs when the doctor when I felt rushed off the phone. I had another very small area of my health to discuss to be told by the Dr that there were lots of people waiting in the surgery and that I’d have to make another app to discuss it. I was absolutely fuming as I had waited all this time and only taken under 3 mins of their time. I pay NI each month, rarely even use the service and when I do this is the treatment I get. Other members of my familiar have experienced similar issues. I am utterly disgusted at how rude I felt the staff were. At this surgery I feel rushed past like I do not matter. I completely appreciate the health service is short staffed but that doesn’t mean individuals should be treated like this. This is our health and ultimately our lives.

Review titled Appalling service provided by uncaring doctors
Rated 1 star out of 5

I had to wait 4 weeks for a 5-min telephone appointment with a rushed doctor who cut me off saying they're too busy to talk. Got sent for a blood test, then had to wait another 4 weeks to talk to another doctor about my blood test results. The last doctor I talked to today was again rushed and couldn't bother to listen about my symptoms, she said she was very busy, then told me to go to a Walk-in centre if I'm unwell, even though I'm disabled and suffering from chronic pain and limited mobility. It's an absolute disgrace! There's only one helpful and caring receptionist; the rest of the admin staff have an unhelpful, rude atitude.

Review titled Great practice.

I read about (Polio) from gov, and i contact the GP to know more about that and when to take my son to get the vaccine, as the news advice all parents to do because one of the area in risks and have some cases is Barnet , the attendant that answered the phone quite rude and saying that she didn't know what I was talking about ,because in the GP they didn't receive anything about (polio vaccine) and more i was trying to talk to her about more she was getting angry and dropped the phone. I found very disrespectful, i understand English is not my first language, but is not reason to be rude, the village surgery always is lovely with everyone ,but i don't know what that lady is doing there if she don't want help.

Review titled Great practice under immense pressure
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Considering the pressures that the NHS is under, The Village Surgery do their upmost to get you seen or called by a GP as soon as they possibly can. You do have a few weeks to wait sometimes but I am not the only person registered at this surgery. All the staff are helpful, polite and efficient, thank you all so very much.
