I am 77 years of age and I am finding it increasingly difficult to actually see a doctor face to face unless I am willing to wait a month or more for an appointment to make an appointment it is a matter of telephoning the surgery at 8-30 am getting a que number and waiting for a call back. The first stage is convincing the receptionist. When you finally get accepted it is very unlikely that you will actually talk to a GP instead you will be passed on to a Nurse or as just happened to me a Paramedic. What in gods name are the doctors doing.

I think this surgery has several urgent issues which need to be addressed.. Administration issues come before patient care The surgery deregistered me while I was pregnant because they lost the paperwork submitted confirming I still lived at my current address. I had to complain at reception several times and was almost refused my flu jab. Rudeness of reception staff Whilst waiting for an appointment I witnessed reception staff being very rude and dismissive to an elderly patient. Inaccessible doctors As a previous review has highlighted, staff routinely signpost to pharmacies and refuse requests to see a GP. This is after the ludicrous 8am phone system! If you want an appointment and are granted one it's usually a month's wait. Poor/outdated advice On two occasions I saw doctors who gave advice which was either inadequate (one printed off an NHS webpage) or incorrect and outdated. I know this as I sought a second opinion privately. The only positive feedback I have is that I had very good care from a midwife while pregnant.

I recently had a baby and have been really impressed with the coordination of appointments and supportive treatment received. It was easy to register my son online with the practise and I was automatically sent a series of appointments for myself and for him. At my 6 week check-up, the doctor was very friendly and thorough. I was blown away by walking away with a physio appointment just 4 days later. The physio was also brilliant, very knowledgeable and provided me with exercises and excellent advice to take away. The surgery are also very prompt with approving Medications for prescription renewals and it is fairly easy getting a doctor appointment (considering the climate!)

Online pharmacy let me down - held up my whole prescription (including my Insulin) because one item was out of stock. I only had one dose left. The practice receptionist was brilliant, positive and helpful - arranged for the insulin prescription to be provided at the local pharmacy and even called me back to let me know when the prescription was with them. Can't fault their response! Thank you.

Called the practice as I have had a throat problem for 10 days now. Spoke with an unskilled receptionist, and requested a tele consultation with a GP this was refused. Told to see a pharmacist, and obtain a throat spray, and call back in 3 days if no better. This deliberate practice of obstructing patient access to a qualified medically trained professional is extremely concerning, and potentially dangerous, and needs to stop forthwith.

I needed to go online for a back dated sick note today. The system was down and the phones have 25 already on hold . It does happen sometimes but this was bad timing after a bank holiday. Maybe the practice is affected by their own staff sickness. The thing is patients need somewhere else to provide the service rather than go without .

I'm a new patient at this surgery and needed an appointment. No problem getting a face to face appt and, although I needed to wait half an hour, was very pleased with how I was treated by doctor and reception staff.

Now at 45 minutes and counting - no longer even being told queue position. Started at thirteenth. Second attempt - first this morning waited 30 mins then tried again as it seemed to be going nowhere - failed - it said no agents available.

Although I have had difficulty getting through to the practice (the call queuing system is often unreliable) when I do reach a human being they are always extremely helpful, they arranged a post operative medication, pointed to the pharmacy of my choice, though it was late in the day on a Friday - I picked it up on early on the Saturday morning. Thank you!

My mother recently became a patient of the vine medical centre for a short while when she went into residential care, whilist in care she suffered a stroke and was admitted into hospital where she sadly passed away a few weeks later A few days after her death a GP from the practise rung me up, offering there condolences and asking me how I was and is there anything they could do. It was a very nice thing to do and I was somewhat taken back it was a very nice thing to do and it meant a lot Thank you
