  1. Review titled Complete disgrace stay well clear

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Richard Bowen - Posted on 10 June 2024

My wife has a long term illness and this surgery has been of no use. We have spent thousands on private health as you can’t get an appointment at this surgery! The one thing we ask them to do is prescriptions! However this is a constant battle with them not being done on time or being declined. When you challenge them all you get is it’s being made a priority and will be done as soon as the doctor can! This is not good enough when it is 3 days late and my wife struggles with every day life without her medication! The problem as are caused when the surgery puts a 2 day limit for a prescription to be done and the chemists now have a 3 day lapse for the prescription to go to a hub to be done! That makes 5 days! If you put in a request 5 days early to get it by the time your medication runs out then it will be declined for a controlled drug because it looks like you are taking too much! Catch 22 so you come up against a brick wall at reception! Apparently the doctors are so busy! I have been in twice today with nobody waiting! Oh they are on the phone reception say! The old system worked and this new computer system does not! Everyone says the same apart from the doctors! No wander everyone goes A&E! Complete joke!

  2. Review titled Are there even any qualified permanent doctors here?

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Suzanne Mitchell - Posted on 01 December 2023

My precious appointment was cancelled on the day I was due to go, by email, so I didn't see it. Went to my appointment to be told I must come back later to see a "non-medical/medical person", What on earth is that? I saw a very pleasant trainee who kept to the 'script' by only being able to discuss 1 problem. At 75 it is hardly surprising that I have more than 1 problem and appointments being as hard to find as hens' teeth, I was hoping to discuss more than 1 thing, not unreasonable.? Tried to discuss the problems with the practice manager but you have to apply to him to see if he will give you an appointment, such an arrogant sense of his own importance. Doesn't offer a service then?? Signs everywhere saying they will not put up with abuse but they work so hard to deserve lots of it.

Dear Mrs Mitchell Thank you for your feedback. We apologise you have experienced these problems. I am not sure what is meant by non medical/medical person? If you would like me to clarify who saw you, or investigate the concerns you have expressed any further, please do not hesitate to contact me at frimleyicb.secretaries.waterfield@nhs.net. I am also unsure as to who advised you that you require an appointment with our Practice Manager? Again, if you email the above address for the attention of the Practice Manager, I will ensure this is passed to her and she will contact you directly and will happily discuss any queries you have. Please do fill out a Klinik form via our website if you require any further assistance from our clinical team. Please do not hesitate in contacting me if you require anything else. 4. Review titled Absolutely horrendous practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 July 2023

I went on line and filled in the form for a GP to call me as was feeling very unwell. I did this on a Friday morning, by the following Wednesday getting worse. Want to the practice and asked what was going on and was told there was a note on the system regarding my call to say that I needed to be booked in to see a GP. The receptionist was looking confused and said the soonest appointment was the following Monday but didn’t know if this could be booked. I had recently had pneumonia and was worried that it was returning as I had exactly the same symptoms. The practice didn’t seem to care. I really have no idea what is happening with this Surgery but it really does need to up its game

Had to beg for appointment to continue in the process of care. Then given a telephone appointment but Dr never called despite multiple calls to reception which as usual were fobbed off by reception

  6. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Honestly a terrible practice, long wait times on phones, can't get prescription I need, it is incredibly dirty and dusty in some areas, Staff don't really seem to care. Would recommend looking elsewhere in the area.

  7. Review titled Horrendous Practice - Best Avoided

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John - Posted on 06 May 2023

Without doubt the worst practice I have used on the NHS. They make it nigh on impossible to make a booking and force you to use the online portal to enter your problems where you will get a curt text response.

  8. Review titled Unbelievable service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 May 2023

Joined practice in January. Recently asked a gp for a sick certificate and still haven’t received it! now on 3rd day, called surgery and was left in a queue as number “1” still waited half an hour until someone answered, I explained that I’m still waiting for the sick certificate to be sent to me and a emergency prescription to be signed of and was told leave it with me I will see what I can do!! Not good enough never known such awful service, I told gp my mental health is on the brink and didn’t know what way to turn, I was told up your tablets and I will book you in with mental health team, received an appointment for June….. Don’t bother with this surgery you won’t get any help apart from getting stressed out

  9. Review titled Not the best experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 November 2022

I have tried to book a follow up appointment after being referred for physio, after completing on line, call back phone consultation, instead just referred to a physiotherapist in Ascot, by text after 2 tries online, no call back. Which happened to be a total waste of time. I have tried calling the surgery and using the online appointment system but have not been successful in my endeavour as yet. I called at different times not for an emergency appointment and at so I thought at less busy times but still end up being in a queue of atleast 30. I do not have the time to wait over an hour to be answered. All I wanted was to relay the fact physiotherapist cannot help and advised that I speak to Dr and make appointment 2nd week of trying now. This used to be a good surgery but with other issues over past 6 months regarding prescription issues for existing complex health condition, I feel its time to register elsewhere, There is only one Dr who is worth seeing but he only works couple days a week, trying to get an appointment is like trying to find Hen's teeth I understand during covid there were alot of demands on health service in general but post covid surely a plan was implemented to cope, and I do not mean the glitchy online system which is not the best . Shame really. Looking for another surgery is unfortunately the only option, but most seem to be in the same boat.I have looked at reviews for this surgery and even those are awaiting responses. What more can I say.

  10. Review titled overwhelmingly disappointed and disillusioned

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 December 2022

I have been a patient at Waterfield practice for 32 years and have always been pleased with the service. During the last year I have been badly let down and believe my experience has been nothing less than shambolic. I had 2 telephone appointments during the last month. For the first I was called 4 and 1/4 hours late, the second : 2 hours earlier than appointment time. I missed the 2nd call because obviously I wasnt expecting it. When I finally got through to the Surgery, I was told I had missed the appointment and the Dr wouldnt ring again. I needed advice on stopping or continuing with meds and was told to ring 111. During the last month I have also been told to go to A & E for routine issues where I was sent back to GP . I find the Surgery Reception staff apologetic and they try to be helpful, but following the whole"process" to get a face to face appointment seems to end in an ordeal every time. In the last 2 months, I have had to pay for private appointments to get a face to face consultation where the clinicians have actually listened carefully to what I have said and done thorough examinations. I find it sad that the service seems to have degenerative to this degree
