Review titled Great experience
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Michelle - Posted on 03 March 2025
I had a brilliant consultation with a new doctor at the surgery today. She was lovely. I felt that she listened to me and understood and validated my concerns. She also arranged a very clear plan and took the time to explain her thought process and decisions to me. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders to finally have a plan in place. What a great addition to the surgery, I’ll definitely be asking to see her again. Thank you.

Review titled Disappointed
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2025
I’m extremely disappointed with the care my 5-month-old baby and I received at this practice. My baby had a 38°C fever and was diagnosed with tonsillitis. I was told a prescription would be sent to the pharmacy, but after waiting all day, nothing came through. I returned the next morning, only to find there was still no prescription. When I called the GP, I was informed that the request had not been put through at all. This delay in treatment for an unwell infant is very concerning. I expect better communication and accountability to ensure timely care, especially for young children.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you had problems obtaining a prescription from the surgery for your child and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention as we expect a far higher standard from our service. I would like to investigate this as to what happened and why this was not fulfilled in a timely manner. In order for me to be able to do this, I will need some more details, I would be most grateful if you could email me at frimleyicb.secretaries.waterfield@nhs.net with your contact details. Thank you again for highlighting this, we hope this will improve the service we can offer in future. Kind regards Lisa Medhurst Practice Secretary

Review titled The Problem With Our NHS
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Ron Rumbol - Posted on 29 January 2025
It's not just about money. It's about archaic procedures that just stifle good performance at our GP surgeries which has a knock-on effect through the whole of the NHS system. My recent experience at this surgery is a good example. A problem has developed with one of my the fingers, which gives me pain and on occasions locks in a crooked position. So, I contacted the surgery via the online Klinik form to get it resolved and set out below is the time line of events. 20/11/24 - contacted surgery via online Klinik form. 21/11/24 - referred to a physiotherapist by text. 03/12/24 - I saw the physiotherapist who diagnosed the problem, which required a steroid injection. He could not do it under the NHS and so it would have to be done by my GP surgery. He then sent an email to the surgery for them to action. 03/01/25 – Received a text message booking a telephone appointment with a doctor for 17th January 2025. 17/01/25 – A doctor telephoned me and asked how the finger was asking details about the pain. He then told me that he would refer me for a steroid injection. 29/01/25 - I have to-date heard nothing! I know in the scale of things my problem is minor, but I am experiencing pain and this procedure is probably the standard approach for all ailments. Was this really the best use of the doctor's time who telephoned me? After all, you referred me to a physiotherapist who diagnosed the problem and the solution - an injection. If this had happened years ago, I would have seen a doctor who would have diagnosed the problem and given me an injection there and then.

Review titled Complete disgrace stay well clear
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Richard Bowen - Posted on 10 June 2024
My wife has a long term illness and this surgery has been of no use. We have spent thousands on private health as you can’t get an appointment at this surgery! The one thing we ask them to do is prescriptions! However this is a constant battle with them not being done on time or being declined. When you challenge them all you get is it’s being made a priority and will be done as soon as the doctor can! This is not good enough when it is 3 days late and my wife struggles with every day life without her medication! The problem as are caused when the surgery puts a 2 day limit for a prescription to be done and the chemists now have a 3 day lapse for the prescription to go to a hub to be done! That makes 5 days! If you put in a request 5 days early to get it by the time your medication runs out then it will be declined for a controlled drug because it looks like you are taking too much! Catch 22 so you come up against a brick wall at reception! Apparently the doctors are so busy! I have been in twice today with nobody waiting! Oh they are on the phone reception say! The old system worked and this new computer system does not! Everyone says the same apart from the doctors! No wander everyone goes A&E! Complete joke!

Review titled Are there even any qualified permanent doctors here?
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Suzanne Mitchell - Posted on 01 December 2023
My precious appointment was cancelled on the day I was due to go, by email, so I didn't see it. Went to my appointment to be told I must come back later to see a "non-medical/medical person", What on earth is that? I saw a very pleasant trainee who kept to the 'script' by only being able to discuss 1 problem. At 75 it is hardly surprising that I have more than 1 problem and appointments being as hard to find as hens' teeth, I was hoping to discuss more than 1 thing, not unreasonable.? Tried to discuss the problems with the practice manager but you have to apply to him to see if he will give you an appointment, such an arrogant sense of his own importance. Doesn't offer a service then?? Signs everywhere saying they will not put up with abuse but they work so hard to deserve lots of it.

Review titled Absolutely horrendous practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 July 2023
I went on line and filled in the form for a GP to call me as was feeling very unwell. I did this on a Friday morning, by the following Wednesday getting worse. Want to the practice and asked what was going on and was told there was a note on the system regarding my call to say that I needed to be booked in to see a GP. The receptionist was looking confused and said the soonest appointment was the following Monday but didn’t know if this could be booked. I had recently had pneumonia and was worried that it was returning as I had exactly the same symptoms. The practice didn’t seem to care. I really have no idea what is happening with this Surgery but it really does need to up its game

Had to beg for appointment to continue in the process of care. Then given a telephone appointment but Dr never called despite multiple calls to reception which as usual were fobbed off by reception

Honestly a terrible practice, long wait times on phones, can't get prescription I need, it is incredibly dirty and dusty in some areas, Staff don't really seem to care. Would recommend looking elsewhere in the area.

Review titled Horrendous Practice - Best Avoided
Rated 1 star out of 5

Without doubt the worst practice I have used on the NHS. They make it nigh on impossible to make a booking and force you to use the online portal to enter your problems where you will get a curt text response.
