  1. Review titled Covid is gone stop using it as a excuse for poor healthcare

Rated 1 star out of 5

Unfortunately i've recently started speaking to my doctor as I have had some developing issues I wanted to get sorted. First experience with them went along the lines of fill out our online form, so I did as they requested, got a E-Consult. Didn't work. Waited a few days... Second experience, I filled out the online form got yet another E-Consult and had same issues. So I emailed the surgery with a rather strongly worded email where I found out I just had to specify in the non existent box I wanted a face to face.... I managed to finally speak to a doctor who was very helpful and gave me some advice, but I had almost 15 different issues to discuss with him and was told "I only have 15 minutes, book a follow up for the issues", what a absolute joke. I went to book follow ups with that specific doctor and once again hit this NHS wall of utter rubbish of fill out this form and we will determine the best action for you. I am the patient, I want a face to face with my doctor to discuss my issues as this is the best way for me to communicate with them, nope another E-Consult and a referral to another part of the NHS, instead of just giving me the appointment I asked for. You do not know what's best for me by some words on a form so stop trying. I left it alone after that as I couldn't book another appointment and picked up a prescription for some tablets the doctor recommended from a blood test. Now I cannot book another appointment till 8am in the morning when all the fakers will try and book an appointment to get off work, when I am in genuine pain. I tried speaking to the person on the phone who told me "there is nothing I can do". What an absolute joke this surgery is. I have even tried to change surgery but every single one is making it difficult. It seems doctors/NHS no longer care about their patients and it is a utter disgrace.

  2. Review titled My appointment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Today I had a 2nd appointment with a women's health practitioner. On both occasions I was given time to explain my health issues, time was taken to understand and treatment was prescribed. On both occasions I left the appointment with a more positve attitude with dealing with my complex needs. I wish to thank all of the staff at this surgery but in particular the nurse practitioner for her reassurance and her lovely manner during my appointment.

  3. Review titled Unfit for service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have a kidney transplant and one of the medications I take as a side effects where it damages your skin, making you more susceptible to skin cancer. Every year I’m referred by the renal department at the hospital to the dermatologist to make sure that my skin is healthy. I recently moved to the Willowgroup who are refusing to refer me to the dermatologist. I don’t understand why this GP feels that they should keep gatekeep one specialist department from sending me to another specialist department. It’s organisations like this that are killing the NHS.

  4. Review titled On line consulting

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I asked to see a doctor on the 14/08/23 on line. They took 3 or 4 days to get back to me, saying that they have referred me to musculoskeletal and I would here from them within 3 weeks. I have asked over the last 3 months on many occasions trying to find out what is happening. Only to be told they will be in touch. I find out today that musculoskeletal is the new name for physical therapy. Who by chance discharged me 6 years ago in 2016 saying there was nothing they could do for me. So no wounder they have never bothered to get back to me. I have just spent over an hour trying to sort this out on the NHS app. I couldn't get anything done just keep sending me round in circles. Went back to the surgery, only to be told that I need to use the willow group website. Who knew as I didn't. Luckily the receptionist got me into the office to sort it out and I am now waiting for a phone call but I am not holding my breath on getting that anytime soon. Very disappointed with this service.

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention, I know this can be difficult and we do value all feedback. I am very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service that we are providing. As a practice, we too find it unacceptable that on occasion patients are having to wait to see a GP for a routine appointment. There is increasingly widespread recognition that General Practice is under huge strain. The Department of Health is now admitting that there are serious problems with GP recruitment. Independent organisations agree that GP workload is spiralling out of control. Over the last couple of years General Practice has become far more challenging, with rising workload, a population with more complex health needs and greater demand for access. The aging population has increased workload in primary care, because elderly patients often have complex health needs. But almost every patient is more complicated to manage. It cannot be extended without investment in more doctors and nurses. We do offer our SDAS for on the day issues. All I can do is apologise and reassure you that we are constantly looking at ways to improve our routine appointment system. For obvious reasons we cannot respond to individual cases on NHS Choices, but if you would like to discuss this further please contact my team on hiowicb-hsi.mywillowexperience@nhs.net with your full name and date of birth and we will be happy to look into this for you. We are sorry that you are unhappy with the service provided and hope you feel that we do recognise how frustrating and upsetting this can be for our patients. I hope I have gone some way to reassure you that we are aware and are constantly looking for solutions to it. Yours faithfully, Kevarnna Langridge Primary Care Patient Experience Manager

  6. Review titled Absolute disgrace

Rated 1 star out of 5

Rushed into hospital last week due to extreme tummy cramps and unable to eat, told to follow on with gp, then get a text to say I will get appointment in next 6-7 weeks. I’m now about to hit two weeks without eating solid foods and lost 2 stone in weight, but they don’t consider it a priority When it was just gosport medical centre, they cared, willow group do not care

Merged from Gosport Medical Centre. Read the reviews on Willow unfortunately they were right. The doctor did not listen they doubted the severity of my symptoms. I am from a medical background so I understand when I am being dismissed.

  9. Review titled Positive experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Denise Wilkins - Posted on 11 January 2023

On Monday 9th Jan I woke to find a lump in my neck. From the initial call to receptionist, to the clinician call followed by a visit to the nurse and doctor on the 10th Jan I can not praise the team highly enough for their support and swift actions. I'm now awaiting blood test results which will determine the route I'm taken down however the reassurance form all your teams was exceptional and can only thank everyone involved

  10. Review titled Excellent E consult

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Maureen Williams - Posted on 02 December 2022

On three occasions this week I have contacted the Willow Group for urgent advice and treatment. The E consult system is fairly lengthy but very straightforward. On each occasion the receptionists and nurses have been exemplary. I have been given good advice and prescriptions have been forwarded promptly to my pharmacy. On one occasion I had a longish wait for the phone to be answered but otherwise an outstanding service.
