  1. Review titled Totally inefficient.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I've tried ring back twice with this practise - both times zilch! The latest time I rang at 8.15am told I'm no. 5 in the queue, gets to 8.45am find I'm no.3, and so irritated walk down to the surgery. Arrive there at 9.15am to find two receptionists sitting there, no one queuing, and get told there are no appointments...check my phone , and see I'm no.1 in the queue! Asking what is going on here I get told someone around the back is dealing with the phone queuing... Totally useless.

  2. Review titled 2hours 40 mins in a telephone queue

Rated 1 star out of 5

There is little wonder why A&E depts are overwhelmed when can’t even get an appointment at this practice. In 2 hours and 40 minutes I have gone from 15th place to 2nd place in the telephone queue. Having spent a career working in the nhs I am so disappointed.

  3. Review titled Awful service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I appreciate you have taken on more patients since dickens place closed but it’s not acceptable to be 11th in the queue and it take 2 hours and 50 minutes to answer! I was calling regarding my daughter! In the last week alone I have called at 8 every morning to get an appointment and yet sit in a 2 hour queue and then be told there’s no appointments left! Online appointments are 4-6 weeks away and are with a nurse which again is not giving options to your patients who need to see a GP! You need to employ another receptionist to keep up with demand. It’s not acceptable allowing people to wait for hours on the end of the phone. It’s disgraceful and it’s no wonder people get frustrated with the service and staff. Very very disappointing. If you cannot keep up with the amount of patients you need to close your register as I see your still taking on new patients despite not coping with what you have!

  4. Review titled Real concerns

Rated 1 star out of 5

My son who amongst other complex needs has epilepsy. He has not been himself after being prescribed Cetirizine tablets to try and stop an ongoing cough, only to look it up on the NHS website to find it should not be taken by people with epilepsy or risk of seizures or fits…

  5. Review titled Could do better

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Unfortunately they don't have any message service that patients can use. They can send you a text message but to respond or book an appointment you can only ring them. You then spend ages hanging on the phone. (The online booking service only has appointments that are weeks away). The reception staff do an excellent job but with only a telephone service available they are always going to struggle with the amount of calls. I have experience of another practice that is far more efficient. You go online, leave a message of your symptoms or request, and wait for it to be triaged. You then receive a return message with either an appointment or advice. This is an excellent service and far more efficient. It's not the 1970's. Telephone only is outdated. The healthcare team are great. Unfortunately, whoever is in charge of implementing the most effective and efficient systems is not so. Modifying and implementing the necessary technology is vital. I can email my dental practice, I should be able to do the same with my GP surgery.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback. I am glad to hear you have had a positive experience with the receptionists and the team at the surgery. Corresponding via email regarding patients is very difficult given the lack of confidentiality, we also have over 8000 patients and currently do not have the infrastructure to enable communication via email, we hope to improve this in the future. thank you

  7. Review titled Always great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The receptionist and nurse were, as always, very professional and met my needs and expectations. Helpful and polite and treating me as a person they knew and not just a number as happens in other places.
