    I filled out an online form for my 10 year old son who had been up all night crying in extreme pain due to an earache. Shortly after I received a text message from the Thorndike to attend my local pharmacy which I did who informed me that they could not do anything for him or even look in his ear. I contacted 111 who made my son an appointment with Meddoc to be told he’s got a very bad infection and he’s lucky his eardrum hadn’t perforated as it was that swollen. I’m absolutely disgusted with this surgery and their protocols on how to get an appointment. After reading other reviews about this surgery my son clearly is not the only person who has experienced problems. This surgery most definitely hasn’t got people’s best interests at heart and they couldn’t care a less. Anyone considering joining this practice and reading this review do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. This place should be shut down.

    It is impossible to get help from this surgery, no appointment can't be made on desk, they said call 111 or wait until 9am to get an e consultation, specifically one lady on the reception very rude and unhelpful , unfortunately don't know her name, this is just one of my cases. Another story is that they called me regarding my blood test and send me a leaflet to read and supposed to call me back again, but they didn't, Another story is my Blood pressure 24 h monitoring, the doctor had to call me yesterday, but didn't. Instead the nurse call me to prescribe me a tablets for high cholesterol, I am wondering will I see a doctor for the next 10 years.

    Had an face to face appointment today, the Dr was do helpful and kind with me, i did ask about a few things and i now have bloods booked, a referral which has made me relax a little. I cannot fault the patience of the Dr as i fid bombard her with lots of questions. Fingers crossed this is the future service from the Thorndike.

    Following a telephone call to the surgery requesting an appointment, I was introduced to the E-consult process. The response to this was very quick and a face to face visit organised. I have now had a visit with an extremely informative and helpful G.P., with required changes to medication and further referrals being made.

    I moved into this area in May. I can not say how amazing this surgery is. They have been super efficent , informative and helpful. As soon as there is any thing picked up you are treated quickly and I am so happy this surgery is mine. Wonderful practice.

    Until my latest experience I was very disappointed with the surgery and considered changing surgery. The reason was the extreme difficulty in getting an appointment. However, my latest experience was met with an excellent response.

    It's extremely difficult to get an appointment here. I have waited 45 mins on the phone to try. I have been told to come into the surgery for the appointment, only to arrive and be told it was a telephone appointment. I've booked a smear test and been given the wrong day after taking time off work, and I've ended up with 12 month's worth of medicine that I never ordered. Don't be ill here.

    Do not try to book appointments as there are never any to be had!! Do not try to obtain test results as they do not review them or contact you to say they haven't reviewed them! Do not ever fall ill - because they will not respond Do not try to phone as you will receive the same answer after spending 50 minutes on the call to be told there are no appointments left, you will have to call at 8am tomorrow, bearing in mid you started this call at 8am to finally get through at 8:50am. They send you an appointment for a test - you arrive for the test to be told it is cancelled until next week - but they have failed to inform you! This is not a caring practise, you are not there priority, but they have achieved there targets of getting as many patients onto there list as possible - it really is shambolic!! I'm not even convinced there are any Dr's in the practise as when you visit the surgery for something as you can't get through on the phone the place is empty except for staff.
