    Very knowledge doctor very friendly and easy to talk to. The doctor listened to my problems with my diabetes and we talked about a plan of action and mediation

    It's extremely difficult to get an appointment here. I have waited 45 mins on the phone to try. I have been told to come into the surgery for the appointment, only to arrive and be told it was a telephone appointment. I've booked a smear test and been given the wrong day after taking time off work, and I've ended up with 12 month's worth of medicine that I never ordered. Don't be ill here.

    Do not try to book appointments as there are never any to be had!! Do not try to obtain test results as they do not review them or contact you to say they haven't reviewed them! Do not ever fall ill - because they will not respond Do not try to phone as you will receive the same answer after spending 50 minutes on the call to be told there are no appointments left, you will have to call at 8am tomorrow, bearing in mid you started this call at 8am to finally get through at 8:50am. They send you an appointment for a test - you arrive for the test to be told it is cancelled until next week - but they have failed to inform you! This is not a caring practise, you are not there priority, but they have achieved there targets of getting as many patients onto there list as possible - it really is shambolic!! I'm not even convinced there are any Dr's in the practise as when you visit the surgery for something as you can't get through on the phone the place is empty except for staff.

  4. Review titled Bookings system failures

    The systems in place for booking are not effective. It is not possible to give an accurate description of a health condition on the E-consult system. For example, often the form tells you you need to contact the surgery urgently when an urgent appt is not required and then the surgery might tell you you can’t get an appt at all. Also I have been confirmed a face to face appt only to turn up and find out it’s a phone appt. I have also been told two very different times for appts by different receptionists. The systems in place are contradictory and cause unnecessary confusion for patients and staff alike.

    I have only just joined this GP's and have found all staff including reception, nurses and Dr's to be polite, emphatic and professional. Feel I have received a great service from them all. They have helped me and gave great information. Surgery set is good, very clean, bright and airy. 100% recommendation.

    I have been with Thorndike for over 2 years. I have had positive experiences with all members of staff, always trying to be very helpful when I have a question. The receptionists are sometimes given a hard time but remain professional throughout. The improvement to the telephone system is much better. The GPs I have had dealings with have always been very good.

    Grateful thanks to the reception and nursing staff for sorting me out on a Friday afternoon with a short notice blood test requested for me by MCH. They were very helpful and patient-focused and I really appreciated their support.
