You issued my prescription but called instead of texted. It sounded like I was on the speaker I could barely understand what was being said.

Dear Stefan I'd like to start by apologising for your recent experience at our Practice. We do strive to treat all of our patients with Dignity and Respect at all times, which is why I will personally investigate this matter to see what exactly we could be doing better to meet our goals. We are very conscious of the possibility that someone else may read a text message that we send to an unlocked mobile phone or the phone ending up in the possession of someone else. With this in mind, we must always carefully consider what information it is appropriate to include and whether clinical information, e.g. test results, should be shared via a portal requiring user verification, such as Patient Online or the NHS App. Only the minimum amount of personal data for the purpose will therefore be communicated via text. Please also note that no patients care is adversely affected as a result of a complaint - we would ensure that your care is only improved on as a result of your comment. I hope to hear from you soon, Llandys Barden Practice Manger

Dear Patient, I would like to sincerely apologise for the frustrating experience you had when trying to book an appointment. Your feedback regarding the difficulty in getting booking an appointment. At Thurrock Health Centre, we strive to provide the best possible care and service to our patients, and we acknowledge that we fell short in meeting your expectations on this occasion. We understand the inconvenience caused by the extended wait time and the impact it had on your overall experience. To address these issues and enhance the patient experience, we have recently introduced e-consult as an additional option for booking appointments. E-consultations allow you to submit your symptoms and concerns online, providing our medical team with the necessary information to review your case and respond promptly. This new system aims to streamline the appointment booking process and minimise the need for lengthy phone calls, saving you time and effort. Furthermore, we are actively working to reduce morning call volumes by encouraging patients to use the e-consultation platform. This way, we hope to alleviate the strain on our phone lines and ensure that you can access our services more conveniently, without the need to spend excessive time waiting to get through. Your feedback is invaluable to us, as it helps us identify areas where we can make improvements and deliver a better experience for all our patients. We genuinely apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure you that we are continuously striving to enhance our services. If you have any further concerns or would like to provide additional feedback, please do not hesitate to contact us. We value your input and are committed to addressing any issues you may have. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we look forward to serving you better in the future. Sincerely, Llandys Barden Practice Manager Thurrock Health Centre

I was lucky to be seen, after I made a call in the morning, by a nurse who's been great as she sent me for further investigation.

  5. Review titled If you want high blood pressure, register here!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Without exaggeration this is the worst place for GP services I have ever experienced. You can ring early morning for a same day appointment - I have never tried as I work in London so cannot wait until around 9am, that's if you're lucky to have got through that early and to then be told there's no appointments and then get in to work 2 hours late! Russian Roulette do, or don't get an appointment?!! Of course you can book an advance appointment, and for that privledge you wait two weeks and, get this, it's only a phone call and you won't get a time so, if you work you are likely to miss the call or, you company may not allow personal calls. Some of receptionists are patronising and the doctors are not much better, they really do raise my blood pressure. They just do not care and I really could go on endlessly with this and how dreadful they really are. I registered because the opening days and hours thinking I would be more likely to get support when I needed it, how very wrong I was so please don't make the same mistake I did.

been on a phone waiting queue for over 35min on position number one in the queue at between 2pm 2.45pm when I don't think you have that busy at the surgery and to sort out a booking appointment with the consultant, to return a call after 5days of a waiting time that they said will contact me but after they miss a call and I tried to return in the morning, talking wit a member of staff that a part as not being helpful was also very rude on the way have deal with the situation.

  7. Review titled No smear test appointments available

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 March 2023

Absolutely ridiculous service, trying to get a smear test appointment for past 3 weeks. Every time you ring them, they say try next week or they will contact you when have one, but they never do, so apparently no appointments for the rest of the year, because rota is not done. Very disappointed.

  8. Review titled Beyond abysmal

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 February 2023

It’s impossible to get a face to face appointment. I called to book an advance appointment, the earliest option is two weeks in advance and it’s a phone call with the doctor! You cannot book to see a doctor - how ridiculous, how can you not see a doctor and who allows these stupid rules to be applied. What’s more, you’re not given a time when the doctor will call so, you just have to wait because of course none of us work! The worse service ever experienced and we pay for this!! It’s stressful ringing this place.

  10. Review titled Antibiotic help

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 December 2022

Needed antibiotics for an infection, they were prescribed. They were not sent to the pharmacy? The same Dr asked if I were allergic to anything told him a particular drug set. He wanted to prescribe that same thing so one one hand give me something to get rid of infection. On the other hand give me something that will make me ill? My advice go elsewhere. Do not listen do not care. Cannot get an appointment usually have no luck on phones getting through. Have to submit a form on phone that it seems they do not read. Have my asthma reviews on line and they do my Peak flow test? how over the phone do they do this? Lies they never check on anything. If you have no choice use this place but my advice is stick clear of all College Health practices
