I am 75 years of age and have been with this surgery all my life since birth. I have always had excellent service from receptionist, nurses and doctors. My partner transferred to Thursby approximately 12/15 months ago and she can’t believe how good they are compared to her previous experiences!!

The nurse was Very good after routine blood test she manage get in to see doctor about different problem without appointment as he had a space available

All medical staff and the receptionists have been extremely helpful at all times. I would gladly recommend the surgery. Excellent experience

Doctors have been very quick to respond to my blood results and called me straight away to arrange follow ups and investigations.

I tend to order my prescription well in advance as I know how slow this surgery is at handling them, ordered my prescription over a week ago and am still waiting for tablets, when told that I had run out and that I needed them urgently, was told by receptionist that they would hurry it and get it put through the following day and I would receive a text telling me that my prescription was at the pharmacy waiting for me. Waited nearly all day and when I rang up to check, receptionist said that it was still waiting to be signed. Only when told that I had run out and that I could be very ill and end up in hospital was something done. I would like to say this was a one off occasion but unfortunately I can’t as this has happened on numerous occasions and therefore I will be looking to change practices.

Not happy that I have had an absence put against my name along with a threatening message saying I will be struck off. The absence was not in fact an absence as I did attend! Whilst I attended surgery I was late, I called the line to try advice of running late with a newborn and temporary lights round the corner from the practice. I was 10th in the queue meaning by the time I’d have gotten to the practice before the call was answered. To add this lateness of 5 minutes soon became 15 minutes due to the fact that the reception staff were too busy on the phones to see to the queue at the desk. At the point I was finally able to speak to reception I was told I has missed the appointment the nurses had gone to the other surgery for a meeting and I’d have to reschedule the appointment.(to add in the time I was at the surgery none of the nurses or GPs left the building therefore I suspect they had left before my appointment time, therefore there was no way my appointment would have gone ahead either way!) This was at the Daneshouse practice. The drs surgery has gone downhill horrendously since they merged with another practice. Difficult to even get an appointment by time you’re seen your health has probably deteriorated, you may as well go to the hospital to be seen, makes me worry for those who suffer severe health issues that are likely not going to be seen by their GP fortunately I don’t often require an appointment

Was sent to the Daneshouse surgery. 5 people in Surgery waiting room.2 had masks on when entering.1 person put a mask on when provided by reception.2 didn’t have masks and where not asked to wear one.2 without masks decided to make disgusting grebbing noises.This is the second time at surgery these people have not been challenged.

Call number position 11 waited 20 minutes than cut off..rang again positìon 22 waited 58 minutes before finally getting through to a human and then got cut off...what is going on..does the receptionist know what they are doing..does anyone at Thursby care? Was a good practice once...

I contacted the surgery today 31/10/2022 regarding my mother.I was impressed from start to finish the receptionist I spoke to was very helpful and compassionate she could not have been more helpful.She relayed my queries to the Doctor who contacted me shortly after.The Doctor was very compassionate and listened to me.He explained everything brilliantly I was then able to pass on the advice given by the Doctor to my mum who is extremely grateful. I cannot praise the staff highly enough brilliant service they do an excellent job sadly very often they do not receive the recognition they deserve. Thank you so much for your help today.
