    At 8.30 this morning I completed an E Consult form. At 8.45 I received a phone call from a doctor giving me an appointment for 11.40. I was seen promptly and examined by the doctor who then arranged for me to have an ECG with a nurse within 5 minutes. Both were polite and most efficient. I was most impressed!

    I am a type-2 diabetic patient with asthma/bronchiectasis. This requires long-term medication and at-least annual reviews. All of my medication "required review" on the system so requesting medication on-line is not always easy. I was then asked to attend on two separate occassions to give blood samples because they had failed to request the correct tests. On my third visit within a week, the person I was to see refused to see me (climing I had missed my appointment) despite the fact that I had a text from the practice stating my appointment date/time. On this attendance logging system wouldn't recognise my attendance so I had to wait in a queue at reception. After reporting the problem to the receptionist, she promised to log my attendance and asked me to take a seat. Several minutes later she approached me and said my appointment was for 10 minutes earlier than stated in the text the practice had sent me so I wouldn't be seen. This is not only a waste of my time but a wate of NHS resources. This used to be a good practice (-30 years ago) but has deteriorated massively over the years.

    Follow a terrible experience trying to get seen for an ear infection 2 weeks ago! I have now after still having an issue 2 weeks later (2 rounds of antibiotics) I tried to get an appointment. I fill e-consult out. Given without consultation an appointment of Saturday which did not work for me! When called to rearrange as advised in my email, No other appointment until Monday! Nothing for today! After 2 telephone conversations with 111 who showed far more comparison and support to my situation and how long I have been suffering with this for now, I finally get a call from surgery and I get an appointment more importantly! All members of staff I saw appeared completely disinterested (very similar to the experience below). I didn’t feel I was being listen too and that they just wanted to get rid of me! I was given a prescription but unfortunately that item had been out of stock for some time! Pharmacy had an alternative but I had to get another prescription for it. I go back to surgery to try and sort out (literally 5 mins after appointment) and the receptionist was again completely disinterested! They followed the prescribed script (obviously given by surgery) and were not willing to support in any way! I now have to wait till tomorrow (doctors to busy to simply print me off another prescription - that was what I was told by the receptionist) so have to make another journey back to collect an alternative prescription! Which means another day with my ear complication, another day without being able to hear! I am absolutely appalled by the way myself and I see below others are being treated! This is not the first time this year, in fact it is probably the 4 time I have had difficulties, issue or simple just disinterested people. I do not normally complain but have had to twice in 2 weeks. I am upset and ashamed of the way our doctor services are going.

    I am currently struggling with an ear infection. I filled out an e-consult form as requested by the gp as we are no longer allowed to just ring up and book an appointment. I did not get a phone call from any gp, just an email to say the pharmacy would be able to help. I therefore go to the pharmacy and have a consultation. The man there confirms I have an ear infection but tells me he is not able to prescribe antibiotics for adults. Only children with ear infection (which is weird in itself) so he says I need to go across to the doctors surgery to request a consultation to get my antibiotics! I go across only to find in a big practice like Toddington Medical Center only 1!!! Doctor is working today and no appointments will be available. She can pre book me for Monday (which wouldn’t work as I am a teacher and can’t just take time off - I need to be in school teaching children). She has no appointments but apparently 111 still have some they can book! The last time I tried to help my 18 month old perforated ear drum and get an emergency appointment through 111 at the doctors last minute, they were useless too and just told me to book an with the GP!!! So I know have an ear infection, constant pain in my ear and inability to hear properly and my only option to get antibiotics which I need to help is to either go to emergency care and sit for hours on end cause so many people will be in a similar position to me (I am a mother of 2 young children and can not just take 3 or more hours out to sit and wait) or live with my infection till Monday when I can get an appointment and not be in class to teach the children I should be with! I am usually an advocate for the NHS but this is inexcusable and appalling practice! I am so annoyed and disappointed! What was the point of me seeing a pharmacist if they can not prescribe antibiotics and how can a practice be allowed to run with only one doctor! It is terrible!!! People need to know what is happening and how this impact everybody!!

    I was really nervous taking my one year old for jabs the lady on the front desk offered to come and support me. Very kind woman and really appreciate that even though she was busy she made time to support her patients. Thank you very much! Unfortunately I cannot provide her name! But she knows who she is and thank you very much!

    Fantastic doctor who always listens carefully Last week the doctor made arrangements for a specialist to give additional advice today at our surgery. Today, along with other patients the receptionist greeted all the patients with a welcoming smile I saw the specialist who was excellent in all respects He was knowledgeable analysed the reason for the underlying problem authoritatively, clearly and convincingly. While I was at the practice he made arrangements for me to choose an appropriate centre and to receive appropriate treatment Tonight I received choices for the treatment next week This is a truly wonderful practice Thank you

    Excellent surgery. I am so impressed with the service I received last week and the quick response from GP’s . Tuesday morning I got a call and spoke to a Doctor, as I was so poorly with possible food poisoning and then today because I was still very ill I completed the e consult and a Doctor called back very quickly at 10am and I was tested and seen by 11am. Both times dealt with care, friendliness and compassion, couldn’t ask for a better service from the surgery! All the staff there have always been extremely helpful, efficient and understanding.

    I was referred to this practice by the pharmacist . The receptionist was really busy but listened carefully, explained the latest system all practices now follow nationally. The receptionist provided me with the appropriate material and was so patient when I decided to fill out the online form on my phone When I had some difficulties completing it the receptionist patiently endeavoured to find support The outcome was that I was triaged by a wonderful practitioner and I had the appropriate medication that day, before the week end Thank you
