I made an application to register at this GP on 24th October 2024. I received a text asking me to come to the surgery so they can take blood pressure readings and my weight for general information. I went and was asked to fill in another form and provide ID and proof of address which I gave. I notified the receptionist that I would need to make a GP appointment and asked how long registration would take, she replied that she wohld leave a note for the girl who does the registrations. After a few weeks went by and as I hadn’t heard anything yet, I called the surgery to query if my application had gone through. The receptionist stated my details are still not registered as the girl who does them is off sick for a week. After another few weeks, I called again to query and this time I was told that again they would leave a note for the girl and that I should receive a call in regards to booking a GP appointment. Again, several weeks went past and still nothing. I called up again after 2 months had passed and I was presented with the same issue. I also made an application for my daughter and partner a week after mine, however theirs never even got an acknowledgment like mine did or even asked to come in for blood pressure or weight readings. My partner relies on repeat presciption medication for his high blood pressure so luckily hes been able to do this through our old GP in our old area in East London. So now after 3 months had passed and after becoming fed up of waiting to be registered, I made an application to a different GP in Peckham and guess what. The very next day I get a welcome email to say I have been registered to the surgery. I am absoloutely astonished at how quickly my new GP have regsistered me, in comparison to Trafalagar surgery who still havent even bothered to register me and my family or even contact me to let me know whats going on. Safe to say I feel I have dodged a bullet with this surgery, because if this is how long it takes register patients, I can only imagine how long it would take to book an appointment. Its totally unacceptable and there is no excuse to make people wait 3 months to be registered to a GP surgery. Appalling.

The receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Therefore I checked the nhs app and found out that her note was inaccurate and that my referral for adhd wasn’t sent to the hospital as it was supposed to be done last year.

Review titled Don't register with this practice

This surgery does all that it can to discourage you from making an appointment. It was easier for me to see a doctor when on holiday in Mexico than see a doctor at this surgery before I left - that's a measure of how third world the service is (a service which I prepay every month from my salary). When you do finally feel compelled to push for an appointment a doctor, the only available appointment is weeks away and you are kept waiting and then when you are eventually seen you are told that you can only raise one single issue - that a separate appointment is required per condition. There is a bizarre assumption at play in that surgery - that it is OK for you to repeatedly take time off work to attend at times and dates that purely suit the surgery, not you, and that it is acceptable to keep you waiting - as if their time was more important than yours. Care is low on the agenda in this surgery. It appears to operate using a succession of locums and the priority appears to be to make as much profit as possible, with little or no care or concern for patients. It is scary how much effort they put into discouraging appointments. I was sent by the surgery for three blood tests at a hospital and nobody at the surgery took the trouble to tell me before any of the three tests that I should not cycle to the hospital for the tests (which turns out to be a very basic instruction for anyone familiar with the tests), resulting in each of those three blood tests being a waste of mine and the hospital's time.

Review titled Rude staff and unhelpful to the patient

I have been asking for an appointment with this GP for nearly six months to see my doctor as I have serious concerns about my health. They always forced me to take telephone bookings, which I never received because I was not even given a fixed time to wait for the doctor's phone. In the last two months, I asked them to allow me to see my doctor to discuss my current medication as it is not working well. I feel the reception staff did not consider my worries and never tried to help me or give me autonomy as a patient. I decided to change this GP before my condition worsens and affects my general health.
