  1. Review titled Can't get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have a swollen and painful elbow. I took ibuprofen for a week and the symptoms remained the same. Tried to get an appointment on 4 occasions calling 195 times in 15 minutes only to be told by an automated message that all the bookings had been taken. Even tried the walk-in centre at Swadlincote only to not get seen in 3 hours and then it shut for an emergency. Terrible service!

  2. Review titled As usual met with abrasive and uncourteous attitude.

Rated 1 star out of 5

After waiting through the usual queueing system after finally getting connected you staff were abrasive and uncourteous and displayed terrible phone manner. Can't say I'm surprised as it's the same every phone call. Told information contrary to what had been explained to me by the doctor on a previous visit. This appears to be a place with a serious communication problem where staff aren't accountable for their actions. Add this to the fact that appointments seem to be few and far between if you can even get through on the phones and it makes for a grim experience on the rare occasion I have had any dealings with this practice. We have had to drive fro my Stretton to Branston for all of my wife's antenatal appointments despite there supposedly being a surgery 5 minutes walk from our front door.

  3. Review titled Very poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionists are the gatekeepers, who appear to decide whether you are worthy or not of an appointment (when you’ve spent a long time on hold already). Some receptionists are super helpful, but some quite honestly seem have an attitude problem and speak to you in a condescending manner. No ability to book online as never any appointments. Been trying to get a diagnosis for extreme tiredness which is affecting my ability to function. According to the receptionist discussing my test results is routine and despite being 3 months into this situation, I can wait 2-4 weeks for this. They have zero compassion. If I could find another surgery I would.

  4. Review titled Absolutely awful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I don't even know where to start with this awful surgery! All I need is a telephone appointment to get a sick note due to a very serious illness....I rang 118 times at 8am and it was permanently engaged and I've had this problem everyday for a week now....by the time you manage to get through there's no appointments left. The staff are so rude and unhelpful. My illness is stressful enough without this awful surgery making things even worse. My work place are telling me they need a sick note ASAP but I can't get one!!!! Disgusting!

  5. Review titled Always caring attentive doctors

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I know it’s difficult to get an appointment. This is and never has been the fault of any practice. For this we look to resources and funding. I have always found the GP’s, nurses and support staff talented and caring. I have visited today and not been disappointed. A very caring and interested GP. She had time and patience with a very caring attitude. I’m conscious not to take up too much time but I didn’t feel rushed at all. Kindness and compassion from all the staff who work under unimaginable stress and pressure.

  6. Review titled One Doctor 3 appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I get anxiety before I have to ring this surgery , I rang 198 times last time to be told no appointments left , this is the norm . today my husband rang and only 3 appointments and 1 Doctor on duty , the receptionist is the one who decides if it’s a emergency ? If it’s a emergency then the hospital is where they should be telling patients to go . For it to be down to a receptionist to decide what’s important and what isn’t is totally ridiculous. I am so frustrated with this surgery something needs to be done . There’s lots of unhappy patients in here on trust pilot so why is the situation still the same .
