  1. Review titled Poor standards

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr Bowers - Posted on 25 April 2023

I contacted the practice as they had sent through a choose and book referral that only gave me the option of a single clinic that when you selected this clinic it advised there were no appointments and to contact your referrer. I was told by the receptionist that despite the advice on choose and book this was the hospitals issue to resolve and to contact them. When you haven’t been seen by them you’re not a patient of their clinic and so they cannot assist it’s the referrers issue to find a clinic with appointments not the hospitals issue. This means I have been left without a specialist despite having been without a specialist for 4 years because of an error. Overall poor practice standards in my opinion.

Dear Mr Bowers. Thank you for your feedback. When a patient is referred to a Hospital for a clinic, sometimes there are no clinics/appointments available but the Hospital is duty bound to arrange an appointment directly with the Patient. I am not sure why this did not happen but the Receptionist was correct in stating that once a referral to a Hospital had been made then it is down to the Hospital to take ownership of the referral. I hope this explains the position. Mr J Smith Practice Manager

  2. Review titled useless

I called the surgery in March this year for an appointment to be told I could have a face to face, I went to the surgery to find I was seeing the practice nurse who couldn't even pronounce my name properly and was extremely rude when I tried to give her some history of why I was there, on leaving I asked the receptionist if I could make an appointment to see a Doctor, she told me you have just seen someone, I said okay and went to leave and she shouted let me check your notes so I walked back and I couldn't believe what she said to me, "You need to change your lifestyle" this from the receptionist, I have lost all faith in this Doctors, recently I was told when I tried to get a prescription that all the Doctors were out on emergency calls another time that there is no Doctors in after 12 noon, I could go on and on but nothing will improve.

Dear Mr Smith. Thank you for your feedback. I am a little confused and concerned by what you have printed as it is not difficult on pronouncing your name and surprised that the Nurse was extremely rude. The Nurse in question is currently on annual leave and upon her return I will speak with her to establish what the problem was and how she dealt with the consultation. At no point are all the Doctors out on emergency calls and I can assure you that there is always a Doctor available after 12 noon on every day the Surgery is open. Your statement here is totally untrue. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your issues with me directly by telephoning 020 8318 7272. John Smith Practice Manager

  3. Review titled The worst of the worst

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Melissa - Posted on 22 March 2023

Why are the receptionist telling patients to call at 8am and we never can get through. This has been an ongoing thing since last year. In my opinion is the worst practice I've ever been to. Few of the receptionist are so rude. They need training on how to deal with patients. My family will be moving surgery soon because its pointless. We could be dying and can't get through on the phones. I'd also like to mentioned that I've gone to the surgery after 8am and so many workers standing around in the surgery doing nothing, while they put the phones on busy

If you go to our website and register for "Patient Participation Group" I will ensure that you are sent an invite for our next meeting which will take place via MS TEAMS on the 30th March. Appointment booking is on the agenda so I will be happy to explain the various ways to book instead of telephone. John Smith Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Cannot park

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Can’t park - Posted on 17 February 2023

Despite this webpage completed from the information provided by the GP’s there is no parking unless your staff. Disabled parking is on the street if you can find anywhere which with a Travelodge very close by is unlikely and non disabled parking is at a pay and display meter or in a cad park again affected by above. The practice don’t seem bothered about providing incorrect information as long as it gets them patients

Dear Patient, thank you for your feedback. I assume you are referring to the information on the NHS site rather than our website www.trianglegrouppractice.co.uk I agree that the NHS site is misleading as it refers to a car park and disabled parking but fails to point out that this is not on site, but available opposite. I am unable to change this information from the Practice as it is centrally loaded by the NHS. The Public Car Park opposite always has available spaces, even with Travelodge being located opposite. Disabled patients can use their Blue Badge and park right outside the Surgery on the yellow lines and have had no difficulty in doing so in the past. If you go to our Home Website (www.trianglegrouppractice.co.uk) you will clearly see that we state that there is a public pay and display Car Park opposite the Surgery. I will try and investigate how we can amend the NHS site as it is clearly wrong and I would like to thank you for bringing this to my attention. Mr John Smith Practice Manager

  5. Review titled Cannot get through on the phone

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am a stroke patient and have concerns about my blood pressure. For the last 3 mornings, I have tried to get a phone appointment, starting just before 8am and ringing continually till after 8.30. I just can't get through. I suppose I'll have to go to A&E instead. Shocking.

Dear Patient, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you could not get through on the telephone the other day as we were busy with other patients calls. If you have access to the internet I recommend you try to contact us via the "Ask First" portal as appointments are also available to book this way. There is a link on our website www.trianglegrouppractice.co.uk We encourage all patients to use this as the telephones are always busy at 8:00 o'clock in the morning and there are only so many staff that can answer the calls. 6. Review titled Lovely Doctors, Terrible Receptionists

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 November 2022

If you can get to see a Dr at this practice, they are brilliant. However, getting an appointment with a Doctor means navigating the receptionists and I have yet to encounter a pleasant one at this practice. They don’t seem to realise they are there to serve patients who are unwell and requiring medical assistance. Instead of being kind, courteous and helpful, they seem to go out of their way to be as unhelpful and rude as possible. They speak down to patients as though they hold the power to award appointments to those they feel are deserving of one. It’s all very sad and unnecessary but it’s a culture at this practice that needs to change. Treat people the way you like to be treated is a good place for these receptionists to start.

  7. Review titled Excellent practice. Spoke to GP and pharmacist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Khan - Posted on 13 October 2022

Dear Triangle Practice, I am not sure why other reviews are negative about this practice. I understand the pressures on the NHS are already high, and sometime patients expectations can be unrealistic too. My parents and I have been a patient at this practice for over 14 years. The young male doctor and the rest of the team have been fantastic. My parents usually see him who has always been a pleasure to speak with, my father has a learning disability and she has always been extremely patient. Recently my dad had a consultation with the new pharmacist over there. I did not know GP's now have pharmacists, but I just wanted to express my thanks to him also. All of dad's medication related questions were answered and dealt with promptly and has not had problems getting meds on time. My dad is a lot more confident with taking his medications now and has not experienced any issues with his blood pressure too. Please pass on my thanks to your pharmacist and GP and admin team. I would highly recommend this practice and always have.

  8. Review titled A GP surgery that actually cares. Thank you all

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just wanted to write a few words of appreciation. Excellent team at Triangle. My mum has been well looked after over here, I have recently moved my mum to this practice from another one down the road, and must say Triangle has been great so far. Recommend to all my friends and family. I always get her appointments and vaccines on time. Recently has had several catch-up calls about her medication review and blood pressure follow-up too. Great work guys.
