  1. Review titled Rude GP, no empathy for patients

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Urmi pandhi - Posted on 09 January 2025

I had appointment for my son today at the surgery at 11AM for potential chest infection and whizzing with symptoms of cold and flu. My son was at school and hence had to pick him from school for the appointment. My son was playing at school and school office took lot of time to bring him out and hence I was late by 5 odd mins for the appointment. I was called in by the GP at around 11.15AM. From the point we entered the room GP was rude. First thing she said was "you are late" and upon hearing the reason, sarcastically asked me "he is well enough to go to School?". Well schools enforce kids to go to school even if they are ill and school would decide if child need to be sent home and GP should know this.. When I said I am worried he started wheezing while he cough, she only checked chest and did not check temperature or throat or ears and decided it was viral.I also mentioned my son had frequent incidents of nose bleeding but I did not get any response from GP that why is this happening or anything to take care about. She was more concerned that my son is able to go to school then he is well enough. She finally said its viral and if symptoms get worse take appointment again. I am worried of her behaviour. As parents are already worried for their child hence they are at surgery. Nobody expect for rude welcome.

  2. Review titled Poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by James daniels - Posted on 21 June 2024

After recent surgery, medication was advised to change. Contacted surgery by form and was informed they had not received from consultant so had closed query. Opened another form sending the consultants form. Heard nothing . Rang next morning informed that the surgery had only been open 15 minutes and I should phone back later. Sent another form requesting the tablets again and an ecg for my heart. The only correspondence back was to inform me it would take 10days to process my form nothing about ecg. Although they are maybe correct that on my discharge the hospitial should have supplied 14 days of tablets, the attitude is well you sort it, if you are not well enough that's your fault.

  3. Review titled Consistently poor care.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 November 2023

The care I have received from this practice has been consistently poor. Every time I have spoken to a doctor, they have completely ignored the actual issue to hand and recommended weight loss, no matter how comedically irrelevant it is or how many times I try to steer them back on track. In an average appointment, I am lucky to get two sentences about the thing I actually asked about, and usually end up having to go and do my own research, which makes me wonder why I keep bothering to come back. Absolutely do not recommend. I hope that they consider some more weight-neutral approaches to medical care, or at the very least listening to their patients and getting back on topic when repeatedly requested, but frankly I do not have high hopes.

  4. Review titled Great if you live in Bowthorpe but...

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 October 2023

I joined this practice (Trinity Street) because it is local and I can walk to it in 10 minutes as I don't own a car. Every time I try and make a GP appointment now they offer it at Bowthorpe - which is very hard to get to from here (£10 each way in a taxi or 4 buses). To get one locally there is often a several week wait. The same with flu jab - I was sent a text offering it - but it's only available to under 60s in Bowthorpe.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we are sorry that you have received a poor experience. We often offer the next available appointment which in some cases may be at our sister surgery but we always have appointments available at both sites but the wait may be longer. Flu vaccinations were offered at both sites but the Saturday clinics we offer are at Bowthorpe due to the sheer numbers of patients and the parking available. We have experienced shortness of staff in recent months but please rest assured appointments are available at out Trinity Street Surgery.

  5. Review titled Very helpful and effective

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dan - Posted on 28 April 2023

Had flu-like symptoms, which developed and I lost my sense of balance. The GP (phone consultation) was quick to respond, thorough, and efficient - the medication was effective. A very good experience!

  6. Review titled Harassment.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 March 2023

GPs are no problem , but after requesting that receptionists do not send me invitations to clinical trials and invitations to vaccinations which I’ve already had the harassment continues with a request to send my weight to them . I’m not a frequent visitor and already have a respect form in place . I suggest they concentrate on those people who need them .
