  1. Review titled Currently impossible to make an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I urgently need a new antidepressant prescription and can’t get one. The DrIQ app is down, with no indication of when it will be restored. The website has technical difficulties. You are advised to call, which I just did, but after 5 minutes of recorded messages they say there are too many calls for them to deal with and you have to hang up. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.

  2. Review titled Flabbergasted!

I tried to several times to call this morning after 8am, and could not get through by phone, in addition, their app, is not working. So I walked to the surgery to get an appointment. I tried to describe my symptoms to the receptionist, but I was in a lot of pain and I don't believe I was very coherent. This was at approximately 8.20am. Also, their reception is a public area, and anyone walking in can hear your conversation and vice versa. At 10:13am I received a text message stating someone will call me between 3pm and 5pm. I moved to this area 12 months ago and in comparison to my previous practice in Clapton, this surgery does not come anywhere close in terms of service. So my understanding is the triage team have deemed my head pains are not serious enough to warrant a call before 3pm and anytime up to 5pm??? I am in my 60s and I dread to think what will happen as I age if I have to use this surgery. This doesn't help as I sit and wait for a call, with my symptoms that are not abating.

  3. Review titled All round bad practice

I have complex health issues and the GPs just aren't equipped or willing to deal with them. They're honestly clueless, and dont even try to be anything but, or offer any support. I wouldn't recommend anyone register here. Also the Drs just aren't organised at all, which I think the reception staff get unfairly blamed for. I've had so many instances where drs haven't followed up or done the things they've said they would, haven't sent prescriptions to pharmacies, or haven't told me about tests I need to take and then blaming me for not doing them when the record shows that they didn't tell me. They also have just added stuff to my medical history that's incorrect, and when I've asked them multiple times to change it not done so. These things have the possibility to hugely affect my care at hospital etc. Also while most of the reception team are very good, some of them can be incredibly rude. Also the app that they tell you to download and is the best way to contact them has been down for a long time now, and there seems to be no indication it might be fixed, or if there's going to be a replacement or what. It's been impossible getting in touch with them now because of that, you're always at least 3rd in the queue when you call, no matter the time. I'm sure they're understaffed in all areas which contributes to their issues, but it also just isn't the only or main issue for me.

  5. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment and cannot book in advance

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 June 2024

Note the surgery does not allow you to book appointments in advance and requires you to call after 8am in the morning for a same day appointment, if available. Our experience is that by the time we call the appointments are often gone and you need to try again the next day. Frustrating when you need to see a GP. Neither does this allow for any advance planning. I've raised this with the practice many times but I am told the policy is not likely to be reviewed any time soon unfortunately.

Dear Anonymous I am extremely sorry to hear you have been given the impression you cannot book appointments in advance. We have appointments available in advance and we also have a system in place where patients can call in on the day to get a same day appointment. We had many appointments still available on Saturday 8th June 2024. Unfortunately appointments do go very quickly, when appointments are gone on the day, the reception staff will always ask the reason for the appointment so they are able to advise you accordingly, urgent medical needs will always be referred to the duty doctor in call and patients will be called back within 2 hours. Non urgent medical needs will be triaged to the most appropriate service or patients will be advised of the options to book an appointment with the practice. You can pre-book appointments up to a month in advance but unfortunately their is a high demand on appointments and we may not always be able to give an appointment date and time that is convenient to the patient. If you would like to discuss this further please contact a member of the Management Team. Kind Regards The Management Team

  6. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Unable to book appointment. No possibility of booking a week or even a month in advance, met with apathy at the front desk when attempting to book an appointment. Unsure how you are supposed to see a Dr. Face to face - seem to deprioritise people who infrequently book appointments. Haven't seen a doctor face to face in several years refered to Dr iq which is also fully booked and incapable of making appointments on.

  7. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

There’s an app, but if you don’t have a specific ailment then you’ll need to call. Lines open at 8am, you’ll be in the phone for 20 minutes and, if you’re lucky, you might get an appointment. Once you speak to a real person, they’ll be short and try redirect you to the app. Resist and ask them to book you in! When you turn up, if you can get the assistants attention (usually they’ll be doing tasks more important than you), you’ll have an appointment. Well done. You made it. Good luck!

The practice is open with no doctors maybe 1 nurse. The seating area is not very clean. When you call you are no. 19 in the queue that's on a Friday morning.
