  1. Review titled Minor Surgery

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Martin - Posted on 29 May 2024

I recently had a harmless but bothersome cyst removed from my back at the Clay Farm branch. Not only was it convenient to have the procedure at the GP surgery, I was very impressed by the whole process which was efficient and professional while still being highly patient focused. Thanks very much to the team for a great job!

  2. Review titled Feeling so much better thanks to this doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Lucy H - Posted on 20 December 2023

I am very impressed by my recent experiences with the practice and with the doctor I've been seeing in particular. I have now had three appointments with her recently to thoroughly explore & address the problem I was having, which had been significantly affecting my life. I was really struggling, & I felt very apprehensive about going to the doctor for this issue. I was also worried my concerns wouldn't be taken seriously. The doctor made me feel seen, heard and reassured, & has been thorough & professional whilst also showing me humanity, understanding & kindness. I am feeling infinitely better than I did a couple of months ago, & confident that my health issues are being addressed effectively. I now feel hopeful when before booking my first appointment I felt desperate, & I am profoundly grateful to this doctor.

  3. Review titled Good docs and nurses, booking and reception need improvement

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 March 2024

The doctors and nurses are very helpful and seem competent. However, the booking system is very inconvenient and requires some call back to make an appointment. On one case, the receptionist was quite rude and unhelpful in rescheduling something that was their fault (staff absence due to illness), whereas on the phone someone was able to help to rebook. Also, most appointments are phone callbacks, and if you are working fulltime, you cannot have a large window when you can remain available. I am often at meetings etc.

  5. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Robert - Posted on 13 October 2023

I recently suffered chest pains and sent an online request to my GP practice for advice. I had explained my symptoms in the message, sent on a Friday evening. The surgery phoned first thing on the Monday and I got an appointment very soon. The doctor listened carefully to what I said and quickly referred me to A&E, contacting them beforehand to say that I was coming. I had an angina attack, so I am very grateful for their prompt action.

The practice is welcoming, professional and thorough. My situation was dealt with promptly and the follow up - from the practice, not me! - has been exemplary. I can only recommend the team and thank them for their level of care.

  10. Review titled Excellent Drs

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Jonathan W - Posted on 17 October 2023

Once you are face-to-face with a Dr or Nurse, it's all good. They are helpful, empathetic, supportive and you don't feel rushed. Texts to confirm appointments are very useful. However, some of the support systems are rather clunky and could be made more patient-friendly. Three aspects, in particular, come to mind. 1. The surgery's electronic communication system has very restricted access hours, especially difficult for working people; for example, if I want to send a communication in the evening, it won't let me. 2. Any patient who is on the MyChart system (used by Addenbrooke's hospital), will get their test results before the surgery sees them, which could be problematic. With the patient's permission, the surgery can access a patient's MyChart, but I was told that this couldn't be done as it would mean accessing an external link! 3. Should you be referred to Addenbrooke's or other specialists for further consultation, you have no idea when you will get an appointment and there's no way of finding out, so you can't plan ahead. These three issues can create huge frustration and anxiety if you are feeling under the weather. If there's a will to fix these issues, the public impression that the surgery gives would be improved exponentially.
