  1. Review titled Abysmal

Rated 1 star out of 5

Impossible to get appointments, requested medical records for travel and request was closed with no information provided. Referral with no information on Nhs record, so not sure if I am on a waiting list or not. Went for scan for an identified condition and still waiting for feedback 3 months later. Skin assessment still ongoing, after 9 months, I have still only seen nurse practices and can't get to see a Gp. Avoid at all costs!!!

Abominable. I could go on about how bad it is but it,s a waste of time. I dread having to try and at least speak to a Doctor because it is virtually impossible.I try and live with what’s wrong with me until the pain becomes too much but trying to get my meds increased is a no go.

Put a request in on Tuesday morning as I am in alot of pain in my hands, arms and shoulders at night which is keeping me awake. No communication until Friday morning to say an appointment had been booked for me 2 weeks after the request went in. GPs used to ring the patient the same day to discuss, can't even get a phone call now

  4. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation (after going to A&E as I couldn’t get an appointment at the doctors). I’ve been prescribed medication to manage this but am starting to get more regular ’attacks’ which is worrying me. I submitted a request through the Anima system and it took a week for the practice to respond and that was to inform me that someone would ring me mid-October!!! How does this system help people who have genuine concern for their health? No wonder people are going to A&E for help as this practice does not seem to care about their patients. There is no continuity of care and I feel that patient concerns are not addressed. I would change doctors but I have feeling that most surgeries in this area operate in the same way. Not happy at all

  5. Review titled Useless Anima Health App

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Barry Nesbit - Posted on 02 September 2024

This review is specific to my experience today in trying to access the Anima Health App. The app is allegedly being used to triage patients and to avoid a host of people ringing the surgery. However when I accessed the app earlier this afternoon it told me that it is not available because they are full of earlier requests. This flies in the face of common sense. Surely it should be open 24/7 and the list of requests should continue to grow, to enable the “Team” to address them later. The poor patient should not be obliged to contact again the following day and hope they are in time to get onto the list for that day. This is no improvement on making the poor patient call early in the morning. It has not improved the process of getting someone to pay attention to your needs. Quite simply this app does not assist the patient, it is just another device to assist the clinicians. Get it changed and made more customer friendly!

  6. Review titled Disgusting practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I've been with Lintonville for 34years. It was great but not I wouldn't send my dog to it. There are no Dr,s just health care people. No one knows what anyone is doing anymore and I've tried to speak to someone today about a prescription which was sent to dr via the hospital but hung up after waiting for phone to be answered after 1 hour...still waiting

  7. Review titled 2 weeks

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am still waiting to speak to a GP from this surgery as I write this review. I have waited over 2 weeks for an appointment and still waiting for a telephone call . What has happened to this surgery? It used to be really good and highly recommended….. not now! The system has changed for the worse. Filling out forms to get an appointment and still your asked what they can do for you when you do eventually get an appointment. Something has to change for the better.

  8. Review titled Terribly disorganised and broken surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 July 2024

What has happened to this surgery? The customer service is now appalling and the whole process is broken from start to finish. The anima system is unfit for purpose, giving a complete lack of empathy and disjointed from any human interaction. Trying to get an appointment is virtually impossible, a promise for a phone call from a doctor simply doesn't materialise. When someone does call they either phone the wrong number or let it ring once and hang up. Three occasions i have been at this surgery and the computers have been down meaning no access to records. The website is down as i write this. The navigation unit that your call eventually gets put through to offers rude and pedantic service, scoffing what you say and giving you the feeling that they just can't be bothered with you. They often try and palm you off with an associate, ie not a properly qualified general practitioner or doctor. The phone appointments are a waste of time , all day waiting on edge for a call that never happens and if it does they make you come in to see them. Why not just do that in the first place? I truly believe that due to the disjointed and shambolic way that this surgery is currently being run that people are actually in danger. I am sure the surgery will blame lack of funding but no amount of money can compensate for bad management and disorganisation.

  9. Review titled Terrible.

Rated 1 star out of 5

This doctors has gone downhill, you cant get through at all, everything is digital. Service is terrible, Im not actually sure you would consider them a GP surgery. I have been with this surgery for over 20 years and will be moving doctors due to the inability to see a GP when needed. Its a disgrace. I tried calling to make an appointment, sat 40 minutes on a call, gave up, used the online service which wasnt easy, I was then advised they dont fit coil for contraception purposes and gave me the number for the sexual health clinic. The number provided was out of date.

  10. Review titled Practice gone pear shape

by Keith Pratt - Posted on 15 July 2024

The most trouble I have with Velans is getting an appointment. I registered with Anima but to log in is an assault course. Every time I put in my password it says it doesn’t recognise. The change which I have done but to day is the straw that broke the camels back. The change in my password this morning is not acceptable to night. I am seriously thinking of leaving and registering at another practice. It is so frustrated.Keith Pratt
