    Unfortunately the quality and support is very poor, which is a concern when the patient is a child. Our observations if it helps: My daughter was misdiagnosed with chickenpox when she was 2 1/2 years old ny a gp who looked saw a few coldsores from a distance, googled the nhs website and without coming closer pronounced the diagnoses. (she subsequently did have the illness 12 months later). More recently, when asked for an emergency appointment for our toddler daughter, because of a swelling which appeared overnight, the receptionist was extremely unhelpful, showed no empathy or attempt to help. Instead referring to the policy - and dismissing question about alternative options. Btw, if you are trying to book an appointment, our experience has been that the reception does not open at 8 as advertised. Id ypu call just after 8, the call is finally picked up around 8.30-8.45 (whilst being 2nd in queue the entire time).

    I just wanted to talk about my amazing first beautiful experience with one of the Nurses at Victoria medical centre. I have phobia and anxiety going into doctors and she was so kind and understanding of my situation when I explained to her and had turned my anxiety into a heart warming experience, thank you for having such a beautiful kind hearted and professional person working at your centre, she was so amazing that i believe she is worthy of more than just this review. I can only say a big thank you to nurse M P

    I made three calls to book an appointment for my mother who is suffering and every call they kept me waiting for more than half a minute and in the end they hung up without answering. Really shameful.

    Dear Bassam, We are sorry that we could not meet your expectation to speak to someone at the surgery within half a minute. If you contact the surgery and speak to the complaints officer we will try to audit trail your telephone number to see what happened with your call exactly and make sure treatment for your mother is arranged as quickly as possible. We have no way of knowing your contact details from the information we are presented with on this platform.

    I have had only terrible experiences with this medical centre and I do not recommend it to anyone looking for a local GP. I have found both the reception staff and the doctor I saw to be very rude and unhelpful. I came away from my appointment with no plan of action or further treatment or tests. I have since gone private and had the tests done - I have a fractured bone and am getting physio all privately which is not an expense I need. The appointment was 40 minutes late and the when I checked with reception that I was meant to have an appointment, incase I had made a mistake, they were very unhelpful and said that to check if I was on the list for an appointment they would have to log into their computer. When I asked if they please could, it took less than 30 seconds and they were annoyed at having to do so. The lady next to me at reception with a very small child was having equally a tough time. She was being talked down to for absolutely no reason.

    I have been coming to this practice for a while and had experiences with many taking my blood but the only one can take my blood without putting 3 needles in my arm is the hca! I feel very comfortable with her! She's very gentle, kind and helpful. I would highly recommend her to anyone who are scared of needles like myself.

    Appointment booked for 11.10 at 12.00 as I'm writing I Have still not been seen, not one member of staff made any announcements in the waiting area to patients about any delays, One doctor was only apologising to patients when asked by patients why the wait was so long. No senior manager around to come to the floor to manage patient expectations or ask if we would need to rebook or able to wait or given any idea on how long the waits would be have asked reception at 11.30 how many patients ahead of me have been told 1 patient but still not been seen understandably delays can be unavoidable in healthcare but the lack of communication has failed patients today.
