Review titled Disappointed in what they’ve become
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 December 2024
I moved to this surgery after being continuously let down my my previous one. Things started well here, the doctors appeared interested, my appointments were scheduled at convenient times and my medicine was regularly reviewed. Since about spring this year, all of that has changed. I have asked 8 times for a face to face appointment, told I have one, only for the confirmation text to tell me it is a phone call appointment. I have told them I struggle taking phone calls. I requested a medication review on Wednesday 19th Dec and was told I would have a call back within 48hrs - normal procedure. We are now 5 days hence (not including weekends and Xmas/26th) and I’ve not had a call. I will not get one now until at least Monday, as today is Friday, and I run out my medication tomorrow. I will be leaving this surgery as soon as my medication is sorted and I suggest others do the same so that they aren’t left without vital medication.

Review titled Uncaring people
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Incompetent staff and uncaring - Posted on 20 September 2024
I filled an online form because I was sick and booked an appointment. They promised they would call within 24 hours. Its been 3 days no one called. I called them today since I am getting worse, all they could say to me was wait to be called. I am sick and cannot focus on anything. One can easily die because you don't have an appointment. Even if you request one, they don't call back. I think the whole NHS has suddenly become useless. It wasn't the first time they did this to me. So now do I need to fly to another country for emergency treatment because no one plans to get sick. After they failed to help me, I called 111 and its the same thing too many questions without any assistance. I am still lying in my house sick! they really dont care honestly

Review titled Great practice who are doing their best post flood
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I've had to go to this practice a few times in the last few weeks. The reception team have been polite and efficient . I had an in patient blood test with a lovely nurse who was friendly and positive and then had a phone appointment today with my doctor who was really brilliant. She was great at offering the right medical advice and showed care and consideration in her comments. I just want to thank everyone from this surgery for doing an amazing job, i know it's not easy working in the nhs in general and to then have to have your workplace get flooded makes things even worse. I really value the amazing level of service this practice shows and want to say thank you as it really has made a difference to myself in the last few weeks.

Review titled Poor services
Rated 1 star out of 5

The surgery is very disorganised. They appoint physician associates to deal with issues that only actual doctors can handle. They do not read essential incoming letters for patients from specialists monitoring long-term conditions. Despite having a long-term autoimmune disease every time I need something from the GP I am treated as an average healthy adult and the doctors do not read or do not have in my file details of my rare condition and my health history. Recently one of my essential every day medications was discontinued for unknown reasons by the GP practice despite having just seen my rheumatologist who sent to the surgery 2 weeks ago a letter explaining that he reviewed me and my medication needs to continue. Very poor service! Unsuitable for someone with long-term health problems.

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the roles of Physician Associates (PAs) in our practice. We understand your concerns and want to assure you that PAs play a vital role in providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to our patients. PAs are highly trained healthcare professionals: • They graduate with a Master's degree and undergo rigorous training, preparing them to diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions. • They work collaboratively with doctors, contributing to patient care planning, examinations, and treatment recommendations. • They are continually updating their knowledge and skills through ongoing education and professional development. We carefully assess each patient's individual needs and concerns before assigning them to a PA or doctor. PAs only manage cases they are competently trained and experienced in handling. In complex cases or those requiring additional expertise, they collaborate closely with doctors to ensure optimal care. Each clinician has a time limit on every appointment and therefore may not always be able to review your full medical record prior to you attending the appointment. For this reason, the clinician may ask you for a summary of why you have presented for the appointment. With regards to the discontinuation of medication, I would like to assure you that no medication will be stopped without thorough consideration and clear communication with yourself. Please contact the Practice to arrange an appointment with one of our pharmacists who will be able to investigate further. I would require further information to investigate your case thoroughly and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your comments and therefore request that you contact the Practice and speak to me. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Thank you Zainab Patel Practice Manager
