  1. Review titled A Particular Doctor is amazing

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Naveed - Posted on 14 November 2024

I have been lucky enough to see one particular Doctor on 2 occasions now. Her attention to detail and patient care is absolutely amazing. She is extremely concise her duty of care and is always prepared when you have your appointment. A really refreshing approach especially due to having limited time with the Dr, having them know your history before the appointment allows us more time to actually talk about a future plan. Keep up the good work Doctor.

  2. Review titled Amazing practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anita - Posted on 13 November 2024

I’ve been with this surgery many years. Recently was faced with losing my doctor as I had moved home but only in the same area as I previously was. I was told I might not be allowed to stay which was so distressing as the doctor I see constantly is absolutely amazing. He has saved my life many times. I have a very complex medical history and the thought of having to go through all of that again and again with a new doctor was so daunting. The amazing receptionist, I won’t name her but she knows who she is, has sorted it out for me so I can stay. I am eternally grateful. This is a brilliant surgery with a very talented collection of staff. Would thoroughly recommend

  3. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been with this practice for a few months now. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I needed to get a medical letter and it was done very quickly. Special thanks to the secretary . She is empathetic and goes the extra mile in her job. I'm also easily getting my appointments either over the phone or online. Very satisfied with their services. Thank you to all at the practice.

  4. Review titled Worst GP in the country.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Reece - Posted on 24 June 2024

I call up at 8:30am as soon as the lines up. I wait 25 minutes in a queue to be informed there is no appointments. I go to the GP at 08:30am. I want until I'm seen. Only to be told there is no GP appointments available. I stay up to midnight to book online for there only to be nurse slots available. What more can I do. I need a fit to work note and for it to be consistent with no gaps. However they say they can only give me a fit to work note for 2 weeks. Then I need a review. But it's then a nightmare to book an appointment. And they never review me. Still I only get 2 weeks. They are happy to leave gaps in my fit to work note which affects my pay. Honestly they have done nothing to help me and have just made everything so much worse. I did fit to work notes for 3 to 6 months at a time. I also need them to look into my rash on my arm. I have been waiting for a very long time.

  5. Review titled not doing Well .. False info by wemc

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 March 2024

I cant get appointment for test results for end of last year , the statement below is rubbish that wemc left on this site. On average 50% of our GP appointments are available online to book, these can be booked 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, or 7 days in advance, they are mostly face to face appointments but there are telephone appointments available also. The other 50% are available to book via telephone on the day .. ring you never got appt , on line is ok if need cancer smear , got fed up of ringing and i look on line 3 anf 4 times per week and at midnight was told to do this by recpt but never appt think if your face fits you get one ...

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback, I am concerned to hear that you are unable to obtain an appointment for results. If you could please contact me at: stephanie.bowskill@nhs.net I can look in to phone calls that you have made and when you have logged in to the system to make appointments and then I can hopefully rectify the issue for you. 6. Review titled Brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by RAW - Posted on 12 September 2023

I called and asked to speak to a GP yesterday. I was offered a face to face or telephone call but I wanted a telephone call. I opted not to tell the receptionist what it was regarding and they were fine with this and she advised me they only ask so they can advise patients of correct course of action in case of emergencies. I fully appreciated the explanation as to why they ask. The GP called and dealt with me in a most professional way. He spent time listening to me and sent me text messages with information on services that I can use. I felt I should leave a review as I was really grateful of the service I received by the receptionist and GP at this surgery yesterday. I am luck that I don’t use the surgery often but when I do, I have always been impressed.

  7. Review titled Ridiculous Waiting Times!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 September 2023

I am a support worker working with a family registered at this practice. They have been trying to get urgent appointment for their children the last few days. I said that I would try for them. Started ringing at 16.07... was left hanging on the line for 42 minutes and 17 seconds only to be told that there were no more appointments and to ring first thing on Monday morning as appointments go really fast!!!...

Good morning, I am very sorry to hear that you appear to be having problems booking an appointment. For the past two weeks at least, we have had GP appointments that haven't been utilised and I would like to discuss how/ when you are trying to make appointments if we have appointments available. On average 50% of our GP appointments are available online to book, these can be booked 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, or 7 days in advance, they are mostly face to face appointments but there are telephone appointments available also. The other 50% are available to book via telephone on the day. Could you please contact me on 0121-327-0131 or on: stephanie.bowskill@nhs.net please? I can look in to if there are any issues with your account or the times/ days when you are attending the surgery and try to resolve your concerns for you. Many thanks, Stephanie Bowskill Practice Manager

Good morning, I have looked in to your concern raised and I can see that you called on 22/06/2023 at 16.41. At that time all of your results were back apart from one. The following morning, 23/06/2023 at 11.26 you were sent a text message when the final result came back through (vitamin D) for which you required a prescription and you were sent a text message informing you of this. I am more than happy to discuss this with you, should you wish to call me at the surgery. I apologise if you feel that we have not met your expectations on this occasion and we will endeavour to try better in the future. Stephanie Bowskill Practice Manager

  10. Review titled Excellent Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2023

I attended today for a smear test. I booked the test online (very easy to do). When I arrived the receptionist greeted me, checked my details and booked me in. The nurse was excellent. She explained the procedure and it was over in 30 seconds!! My experience was first class! I would 100% recommend this practice (especially this nurse).
