  1. Review titled Unbelievable Team of Medical Experts.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Warren Lane/Forest House Surgery never fails to impress my wife and I. Their online Triage Communication System is excellent. Type a message or medical concern one day, and receive a response, advice or appointment a day or so later. We are so lucky to have this practice on our doorstep. My recent experience has prompted me to write this review. Thank you!

  2. Review titled Great practice group

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Myself and my son have been attending this practice for 2 years now and the staff there have always been great! The reception staff are kind, understanding and welcoming! All of the doctors who have seen us have been patient and compassionate towards us. We have gone through a lot of difficult times but with the support of the doctors, we have seen brighter days. I would definitely recommend this practice.

  3. Review titled Great Practice but improvements can be made.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Overall, I love this GP such friendly staff at reception amazing doctors who care for their patients especially the doctor I see regularly as well as my asthma nurse, and appointments can be easy to get in a variety of ways. I do think the GP needs to improve on the following: - More Inclusive and more training on Gender Identity to better support patients. I know a doctor there is amazing at what they do and supporting me with my referral, but I do feel wider training would help. - Some way to have the option to add a preferred name/note on a on GP/NHS record the name, as I would find this better support patients in feeling safe and welcome and named correctly - Communication - I find that sometimes they don't respond to emails I send and when phoning up it feels as if they are grumpy/not interested to help and call queues can be long especially to talk to someone. This happens rarely with a few people, but it has happened recently, but some improvement has been made to the phone system. - Bring in more appointments where possibles, every day the appointments get filled up fairly quickly making it harder to get an appointment when I need. This is not to complaint to the GP its more of what they can do to help improve the service to help better its services and better support both staff and patients! But overall, I highly recommend this GP and I do hope they improve the following things to improve its services. Again, thank you to the amazing doctors and staff who do help me at the GP in my gender transition (soon to be getting treatment I need from the GIC and further support by you once the treatment is issued by the GIC) as well as the wider community you help serve and work tirelessly to improve people's health regardless of age, gender, ethnic background etc. - Autumn/Brenden

Thankyou for your review of our practice. As a practice, we are always striving to improve our learning and the services we offer, which would not be possible without feedback from patients such as yourself. We do have training sessions scheduled for our teams so we will make sure the next one covers inclusivity and gender identity. I understand that phonelines are busy in the morning as we take approximately a 1000 calls during this time. We do offer other ways to obtain an appointment at the surgery. We have our online booking system that can be accessed through our online services on our website and we have our patient triage system that can be found on our website for non urgent appointments. Should you not be able to hold on the phone we also have our new call back option that will save your place in the queue and then call you back when you are at the front of the queue. I will look into the clinical system in regards to the preferred name/note as believe this would be an excellent idea. Again thankyou for your feedback.

  4. Review titled Poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Gillian Brown - Posted on 24 January 2023

Since moving to a far more wealthier suburb of Leicester Forest East than Forest House that catered for far poorer patients of Braunstone, the level of patient service and support for the poorer patients has become non existent. I appreciate that the practices new and wealthy patients can afford the extra expense of Blood pressure machines, etc. for the poorer patients of Braunstone, still on their books these are unaffordable and beyond their finances especially in this time of cost of living crisis. Being told by a doctor that blood pressure results need to be taken twice a day (outside of surgery hours) for seven days, and be advised by reception you will have to buy a blood pressure machine, this is totally unacceptable. Most practises offer blood pressure machines to be borrowed, signed for and returned. If Warren Lane surgery only want financially lucrative patients they should advise their poorer Braunstone patients and help them change to a more sympathetic surgery.
