Another excellent experience at the surgery. The procedure for COVID and flu vaccinations was handled with exemplary efficiency, so that I was able to leave the surgery before the time I had been booked in for, yet with no sense of being rushed along a production line! Smiles from everyone involved, including the receptionist dealing with questions I had that were unrelated to the vaccination process. This part of the NHS has definitely not been broken in my use of the services over several years. We are indeed fortunate to be served by such dedicated professionals!

I was contacted by the practice pharmacist as part of a 3-month follow-up consultation that was suggested after starting on a new course of medication. I was not able to take the initial phone call, but called at the surgery where the receptionist was very helpful in organising a face-to-face appointment, because my hearing makes phone calls quite difficult. During the consultation with the pharmacist, I felt I had all the time I needed to hear his suggestions for different options available to me and to ask questions. His recommendations took account of my personal preferences and there was no pressure to make a decision on the spot. I was provided with a fact sheet to take away with me to peruse and invited to inform the reception desk if I decided to proceed. When I decided to do so, my request was noted at the reception desk, and soon after, I was contacted by the pharmacist confirming my decision and inviting me to get in touch should I have any further questions or issues once I started the new medication. Once again, I am hugely impressed at the level of care I have received at the Well Close Surgery. When we regularly hear of the constant pressures on the NHS, it is all the more remarkable that I can rely on all the staff to give me their undivided attention without any hint of the time pressures they must be under. We are fortunate indeed to be cared for by such a remarkable team.
