Review titled Great care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 May 2024
This GP surgery has by far been the best for helping me with my transition & accessing hormones. I have struggled to find any gp surgeries willing to support me, but wellbn has and it’s such a weight off my shoulders. The care they have provided me with has been good, as well as the quick responses too.

Review titled Friendly & helpful practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Friendly and helpful receptionist. Short waiting time. At my appointment the nurse explained clearly my procedure, which went smoothly, and the results protocol. My experience at this surgery was good, I felt the nurse was kind and professional. I would recommend this surgery.

Review titled Fear and trepidation
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2024
It was with fear and trepidation that I approached the surgery I arrived on time and was seen by the nurse who was about to commit the dastardly deed of removing blood from my arm fortunately it was a painless experience and I was given a wad of cotton wool to stop any unnecessary bleeding which was later taped to my arm which was rather fortuitous as I have a paranoid fear of my own blood The nurse assured me that everything was fine and requested that I should leave go home and lie down to get over the experience but all in all and joking apart as pleasant experience as was possible under the circumstances

Review titled Great practice!
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My baby had her immunisations there and the nurse was lovely and patient. Also, every time I have needed something, the practice has replied very fast and has given me appointments when needed. As a first time mum, I feel supported by them!

Review titled Horrendous
Rated 1 star out of 5
by E Sellings - Posted on 26 April 2024
Phone system does not work, I spent 4 hours holding on the phone (then gave up) in the que to speak to someone at the practice. The phone did not cut me off even after the practice was shut for the day. When I asked practice staff why the line/que was still open making people think that they are still in the que, they could not tell me. Also, I tried booking an appointment for a blood test, requested by hormone specialist and was told that the nearest they could offer me me was in 4 weeks time. Absurd and should not be acceptable in any shape or form.

Review titled Calm reception area / kind staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Debbie Jaye - Posted on 03 April 2024
WellBNBenfield is an accessible surgery, I’ve only seen my mental health practitioner twice but she is very good. Empathetic, understanding, good listener. Finding her advice very helpful. I do need a copy of the CBT chart she showed me during our session yesterday, 2nd April 9.30am, thank you. Reception staff are very nice too. Calm & polite.

Review titled Systems that work and staff that care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Amy Weinberger - Posted on 19 April 2024
Myself and my two young children have been cared for by WellBN for over 10 years. The same nurse who gave my son his first vaccinations 10 years ago, still does my smears and more recently my cancer-related injections. She is lovely. In fact I have three favourites that I actively look forward to seeing as they are so brilliant. Over the years we’ve had issues of varying complexity and I am more than happy with the response of WellBN. We are very appreciative and I certainly wouldn’t want to switch to any other surgery. Thank you WellBN

Review titled Nurses appointments take months
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 June 2024
On 4 April my clinician asked me to book a blood test, the first available at my surgery (Brunswick) was 3 June. That was cancelled on the day due to sickness so I had to make another. The first available at Brunswick is 10 July so altogether I’ve a more than 3 month wait. I went in to reception and asked if this could be bought forward due to the cancellation she said there was nothing else available. I asked what if it was a really important blood test and she said same, only what is showing as available. This is a terrible situation, my blood test is routine but it could be more of an emergency. And what if my next is cancelled? It would be another 6 weeks at least. It’s a dangerous situation.

Review titled Important problems that to be addressed urgently
Rated 1 star out of 5

My elderly parents are registered with WellBN Brunswick. My experience is frankly appalling. Although individual health carers that work for the practice are great, the overall management of this practice is dire. My father suffers from late stage Parkinson's and my mother is very frail with a heart failure conditions and complications with warfarin. They are housebound but to get someone to visit from the surgery is almost impossible. They are consistently told they need to visit the surgery despite their physical ill health. I have been chasing them for weeks for a flu jab for weeks, referral for a wheelchair or more recently when my Mum had a fall with swelling on her leg just a visit . That is just the start of my issues with the practice. I cannot in conscience recommend this surgery for your wellbeing. There are too many ongoing failings.
