    If you want a receptionist to tell you you may have cancer but you do not need to see a gp this is the practice for you…..if you need a practice where they don’t know the complaints procedure, if they even have a practice manager or who cqc are….then again the practice for you….to have a locum nurse practitioner agree that the level of care you have received is appalling says a a lot! And that the receptionist has given you incorrect information! Being told by a receptionist you don’t need to see a gp or why you are bothering to ask for test results……being text instead of having a phone appointment or better yet having some results explained to you on a prescription label having had no contact with a gp???sending patients to a and e as they have no appointments

    Have been under the nurses from June to October this year sometimes twice a week but always weekly . I would like to say a big "Thank You" to the nurses for their excellent care . I'm sure I am one of many that are so thankful of their excellent care. The Wellington Health Centre itself does need improving on the running of it. As many have said to phone in takes an hour on hold. Its not patient friendly even if you are old they don't care you have to go through their rules which do not seem to be the same in other practices and very often cause more stress than is necessary. I will end this review on the care of the nurses that I have been under "thank goodness we have them" and I hope you get reward you deserve. friendly. Patients

    After waiting over 1hr 10 minutes for someone to answer the phone,I explained why I needed to either speak or see a doctor or nurse,I was just told there were no appointments at all and to try the next morning or speak to a pharmacy!.. its disgusting! I actually explained I'm in pain,whoever I spoke to didn't even do the usual speaking to clinician to see what they suggest

    Impossible to get through on the phone, you can not see a gp. They either refer you to a local hospital see a gp there instead, or you speak to a nurse on the phone who is wonderful and must be very overworked, but even then you can’t find out when you will be called and if you miss the call due to having a job, you have to ring again for a very long time. I feel that essentially I don’t have access to a gp.

    Trying to get through to wellington medical practice in a reasonable time is virtually impossible. It is regularly more than an 30 minute wait on the phone lines. Just employ more people to answer calls!!

    Rang on Wednesday lunchtime & after a 15 minute wait was answered by a friendly receptionist who took down my details, asked why I was calling & asked for a brief outline of my reason for calling. I was asked to hold, within a couple of minutes I was told that I would receive a call later the same day. Late afternoon I received a call from one of the Nurse Practitioners. They introduced themselves, knew I was calling for help with my menopause symptoms & asked me to elaborate to enable them to give me the best guidance. After a few more questions I was told there would be a prescription waiting for me at a local pharmacy, the Nurse Practitioner went into detail about the medication, how best to use it, possible side effects etc. I wasn't rushed or made to feel I was an inconvenience & was advised if there were any problems after starting the medication to call back. There will be a review in 3 months time to check how I was feeling & if it was working.

    Had a really lovely appointment in July with I believe a nurse or GP, she was really reassuring, kind and professional and gave me lots of useful information for the problem I came in with. I felt like I could share and ask about things I would usually not feel as comfortable sharing about both physical and mental, and she not only made me feel better but also used humour as a useful tool! Thank-you very much for the brilliant service, I felt it was exceptional! Really appreciate it and has definitely made me feel more inclined to ask for help when I do really need it. Slightly bad aspects only to do with the telephone services: Although it was difficult to get an appointment over the phone and with long waiting times and needing to call several times to get an appointment, I think this is the only aspect that lets this practice down (and let’s be honest I was happy with a cup of tea waiting), the service is good overall! Update: also discovered NHS app to book appointments with and was extremely quick and easy so maybe I’ll do this next time anyway and decrease amount of calls, win-win!

    Where do you start? Firstly, I appreciate the NHS is busy. However, this practise is a waste of time. They never answer the phone, use COVID at every opportunity and it's poorly managed from top to bottom. When you do get to see a medical profession (Not sure GP's exist anymore at this practise, as you have to be on deaths door to see one). I write this as I've been on hold for 2 hours 16 minutes to be told 'were assisting other patients'. Useless service.
