Review titled They dont seem bothered
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 April 2024
So firstly the doctor delays my medication by 3 weeks - with the result that now i have actually run out. This was to force me to a review appt- some of us work full time in jobs where we do timesheets and account for every minute of our time - not as easy to just turn up to their convenience; then withholds one medication - still havent got it - and now is only providing 2 weeks and nothing more - although it will take probably til Monday for me to get it and i ran out last week. And after 30 minutes on hold on the phone i cant even make the appointment!

Review titled Rude receptionist and incorrect advice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by BryonyP - Posted on 04 April 2023
I attended the practice both yesterday and today. Each time to ask to sign up as a temporary patient, as require some blood tests but am working away from home at present. Upon presenting at the practice yesterday and asking to sign up as a temp patient, I was told instead by a receptionist to go to the Walk In Clinic by the station. The walk-in clinic does not, it turns out, do blood tests. I went again today, and asked again to sign up as a temporary patient. Today's receptionist was rude and abrupt and simply said "it takes more than a day, I can't just do that for you." I am a Registered Nurse, very au fait with the system, and did not expect it to be done within a day. What I did expect was general courtesy and manners. I was told instead to go to the Hove Poly Clinic for bloods, and again sent on my way rather than being allowed to sign up as a temp patient. Much like yesterday this was another wild goose chase as Hove Poly Clinic will only do bloods for people that *are registered with a local GP practice!* In the end I had to call 111 and they eventually advised I got to A&E for bloods, acknowledging that this was inappropriate but I'd been left little other option. I'm very aware of the pressures the NHS is under, but this does not justify being discouraged (against NHS policy) from being able to sign up as a temporary patient, being sent away inappropriately twice with incorrect advice, or simple rudeness.
