  2. Review titled Shocking

Rated 1 star out of 5

Yet another failure by my GP My child's earlobe had split and they advised I need to go A&E despite being informing them I require an appointment for a referral to be made. But the receptionist maintained her advice and the doctor confirmed it. Waited 5 hours in A&E only to be told by the plastic surgeon that a referral would be made. When asked she confirmed that a doctor could have made the referral The GP yet again failed to provide the appropriate level of service. They made me, my 1 year old and 4 year old wait for 5 hours when it would've taken them 5 minutes if that to make a referral like the should have! Shocked and disgusted yet again by west gorton medical centre

Good Morning, Please accept our apologies for your frustration. Unfortunately, we are unable to do referrals to the accident and emergency department. Patients attending the accident and emerency department are triaged on individual case basis by the triage team and this process cannot be bypassed by a referral from a GP. Please again accept our apologies for your wait time and frustration. Rachael Practice Manager
