Review titled Lovely practise, very informative.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 December 2024
I was one of the last patients of the day and went for my smear test. The staff were very lovely and made me feel very comfortable. The nurse was informative and talked me through the whole process before, during and after to explain the steps. Everywhere was clean and all the staff on duty were very polite and welcoming.

Review titled Excellent healthcare

Saw the nurse for a blood pressure check and she was excellent. I was asked if I minded a trainee being present and was so impressed by her thorough instruction to her colleague. All tests were explained and the bloods taken with minimal discomfort. Appointment was on time and care excellent as usual.

Review titled Excellent Service

Booked appointment for my 3 monthly Blood Test. Appointment on time, no bruising. Telephone call for results booked for time convenient to me. I have used this practice for over 30 years. If I ring and get an automatic message to say that i am in (example 25th place) I press 8 and get a call back. Excellent Service, I would recommend this practice

Review titled Diabolical doesn't even go far enough
by Jonny - Posted on 14 October 2024
Been trying to get an appointment for myself and newly pregnant wife to discuss pregnancy and medications etc. Called up every morning for a week now only for the phone lines to be busy. When I finally get through all appointments have gone. I went in person to the surgery to book an appointment instead. I didn't need it today, I just needed to book one for when we can both attend together. Got told to call back at 8am by a rude snooty woman. Please avoid this god awful surgery for the sake of your own health and also your families health. It's beyond bad and I actually don't know how these standards are acceptable and this place is still allowed to operate.

Review titled Shocking
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Chris - Posted on 24 September 2024
The front desk people have been amazing but trying to get medication authorised has been a truly shocking experience, I had a message to say its all available at 515 and it was not actually sent to pharmacy till gone 7, I have recently ordered medication and was told I need a review ok this was set for 20 days time to then be issued with a short term amount that would last 5 days. So as it takes a week on average to get medication I ordered more a couple days after, this was not dealt with and simply ignored. I have now completely ran out and it's taken 2 phone calls to get half of what is needed. There is no common sense. I have been told to book an appointment in the morning and yet tomorrow's have already been filled. I have been out of hospital for 6 weeks after having a very severe case of pneumonia and I was told 3 months on average to heal and just order what I need when I need it and so I'm trying make sure I don't run out but it seems you cannot have anything until you run out and then have to wait longer. The service is a total joke.

Review titled Good phlebotomist
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 July 2024
At previous practices and hospitals I’ve had bad experiences with blood tests, leaving me bruised, or faint. I had a blood test today with the phlebotomist at the site near Asda. This lady was professional, competent, and quick! No problems, and I left without any bruising or faintness.

Review titled Disgusting
Rated 1 star out of 5

Recommended by my community nurse (cpn) when moving to the area. Now however the reception staff are rude, the possibility of seeing a GP is zero and above all else I have a complete lack of confidence in their services as a whole. Following a referral to a hospital I received a letter from them saying they wouldn't see me at this present time, but gave a suggested care plan to try. On this letter they quoted information given by the doctor. Except misinformtion would be the better word! 2 emails to the surgery regarding this and I get text (no email, no call) 2 weeks later to see a specific doctor. As that doctor only works certain days and the online service hasn't worked when I've tried and the 8am call to the surgery is pointless .... 4 weeks later I'm no further forward!! Catch 22? Stick with what you know or move to something that could be just as bad? T**i, the nurse, is a ray of sunshine however in this place.

Review titled Appalling service

I'm leaving this review on behalf of my 76 year old mum. My mum has called on many occasions with no success. Is there any wonder people are dying when they can't get a simple appointment to see there GP. My mum has had an ear infection for over 3 years and can't wear her hearing aids. I personally think my mum is seriously ill and needs to see her doctor. How can the receptionist ask what the illness is when there not medically trained to decide who needs an appointment or not.

Review titled So difficult to get an appointment
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Nick - Posted on 25 March 2024
I was given antibiotics for 8 weeks and was told by the Doctor to come back for a review after 4 weeks. For over a week I've been trying to get an appointment but just cannot get through. The only time I get through is when the message states 2no more appointments are available". I've also had a blood test and need to discuss my results with the Doctor, of course I can't get through for an appointment. I went to the surgery as advised by the person on the phone to pick up a copy of my results only to be told that I need to discuss my results with my Doctor before I can see them. It feels like a no-win situation here. I'm going to try to go to the surgery for 8am to see if that gets me an appointment but being self-employed this affects my time at work.

Review titled Fabulous Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Edwina Price - Posted on 24 August 2023
Thank you to the receptionist today. I was called by the hospital with an appointment which meant I needed to start on a certain medication ASAP. I called the practice to explain I was going on holiday tonight! The receptionist said she would do what she could, and she did! Three hours later my prescription was at the chemist. I have always found all the staff at this surgery professional, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thank you again
