    This surgery is almost literally impossible to contact. I've been registered with them for at least 5 years and have hated having to need to contact them every time. You start the call being told that you are "Number 2" in the call queue, you are then put through a 4 minute ivr and after all of that, can still wait 15+ minutes to get through. This practice is either exceptionally inefficient in it processes, severely understaffed or severely over-populated with patients and in need of a full time contact centre. The NHS app features are disabled with this practice too. Absolutely terrible, I truly recommend not registering.

Our phone lines can be busy and we recognise that this can be frustrating.     Visited dentist who advised my problems wasn't dental. So to visit the doctors instead. I work in education so my working hours are before and after the surgery opens and closes. ( Their opening times state 7.30am but phone lines open at 8.30am. 7.30am is openings for appointments) I tried to make an appointment. But was told I will receive a call back. So I asked for an appointment in 2 weeks when on annual leave. The surgery no longer make appointments in this way. I then asked for a call back the next day after my shift at 4.30- 5pm. I was then told I have to ring on that morning. I couldn't do any. As I would be in a room full of children from 7.30. So would have no access to my phone. Staffing in education is tight as it is. So the hours, system don't suit working people. Maybe I'm better off unemployed where I'll get money to sit at home and can get an appointment. Been with the practice for over 26 years. Sad times west surgery you are not user friendly. Your timings do not suit all. Stuck on the phone line for 25 minutes in a queue to speak to someone in the first place.

Our phone lines can be busy and we recognise that not everyone can call us for lots of reasons. You are able to make appointments using the NHS App or you can ask for medical advice using e-consult which is available on our website. If you encounter any problems you could ask to speak to a supervisor on the day. We hope that helps with future appointments.
