I attended the surgery today for an appointment, and notice the same receptionist as previous visits. She is obviously rude, cold, and appears careless when interacting with patients. Makes you feel as if you've offended her by asking for her help, booking blood tests, etc. In an environment such as a GP surgery, surely this is the last thing you want to encounter when already anxious about an appointment and medical issue? Been with the surgery since birth and never encountered anything like it. Really impacts the reputation of the surgery and dampens the service provided by other members of staff.

Dear Patient I am sorry you find one of our receptionists to be rude and cold however your comments here are not very helpful to me. Of course it is the last thing we want within our team but as this is anonymous, I cant work out when you were here and there is no name so I cant work out who you mean. We take great pride in training our team and they all wear a name badge. If we have somebody who is giving us a bad reputation we want to do something about it. Please could you email we.scripts@nhs.net with reference NHSC140824 for my attention so that I can investigate this and ensure somebody else is not made to feel the way you do. Had help from a lovely pharmacist this week. She took ages to make sure she understood my problem, discussed it with the doctors and then rang me back exactly when she said she would with a solution, over which again she took time to explain the reasons for the decision and the actions that I should take to ensure I remained safe. So impressed and so grateful.

The lady GP I saw is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. She goes "above and beyond" She helped me with a problem regarding my pain medication and took the time to listen and understand my concerns. She is a great asset for Western Elms and Circuit Lane.

I wanted to say how grateful and impressed I was with the long call I received recently from one of your doctors. He was very thorough and detailed about statins, with all their advantages and the likelihood of side effects. I felt I was having a real conversation with him and he answered all my questions and made everything very clear. Thank you very much.

My son was admitted to hospital and we were told following a chest xray that he had phnumonia and had to stay at the hospital for oxygen and was put on two different antibiotics. When he was discharged, we were advised to see the GP once the antibiotics finished. I tried gaining an appointment on Monday 23rd July, Tuesday 24th July and today 25th July - it was bad enough that i wasnt able to gain an appointment but the receptionist i spoke to was incredibly rude - she read out the discharge notes stating that i was incorrect and my son didnt have phumonia and whats more that because it wasnt listed on the discharge note that i needed a follow up appointment, I shouldnt be asking for one as its not urgent and when i said i would do an online submission requesting an apointment - she told me i should upload proof that my son was given the advice from the hospital to have a follow up appointment. In addition to all this, she spoke over me continuously - not giving me a chance to answer any of her questions and she got louder if I attempted to continue to answer. I understand that the UK has an employment issue but having people like that working for any company is unacceptable and a disgrace!

Off to the surgery at 8 am to be met by a cheerful receptionist who gave me a 9:40 appointment. Seen by a very nice friendly lady doctor who reassured me and set up a prescription and I was on antibiotics by 11 am. What more could I hope for from my excellent surgery? Thank you so much.

Receptionists at circuit lane are lovely. The doctor was so kind and listened to my concerns. Even rang me at the end of the day to speak about something. Well after the surgery had shut.

I had a telephone consultation from a female GP who was amazing. She helped me get an appointment with a specialist to sort out my chronic back problem. Everyone I have dealt with at the surgery have been kind and caring showing empathy.

This surgery is a joke! Appointment made weeks ago and the nurse phones me to cancel even thou very important as I needed bloods back for steroids. Was promised a call back within 10 mins she never did! Then receptionist promised me a call back and never did !!! The next day I finally sorted it out after lots fighting with them. They just cause you stress! Avoid this surgery
