  1. Review titled Call Waiting

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Alan Pickering - Posted on 03 March 2025

It's now 11:20 and I've been waiting on the phone 40 minutes. There is no longer a message to inform me where I am in the queue, which used to be the practice. So I can not decide Iif I should continiue to be patient as I'm close to the front of the queue, or it would be better to ring back at a later time when you are less busy. Also it is easy to start thinking when it gets over 30 minutes that you have been forgotton, or you are not in a queue at all.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Mistakenly forgot to take my medication to work today and unable to go home to get it. One phone call to the GP @ 8:44am, prescription sent to the local chemist and collected after receiving a text message. 9:54am. Panic over! Always so helpful and understanding, speedy efficient service everytime. Cannot fault. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Misunderstanding and Diabolical Responses since Merger

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Doctor orders a ct scan due to unexplained weight loss following ongoing abdominal pain. Hospital organises ct scan and Gastroscopy shortly afterwards 27/28 June - fantastic service. Nothing heard for next week and anxious as biopsies taken during Gastroscopy. I’m not aware that it’s the hospital consultant who ordered the tests and was under the assumption my gp did so following my appointment. I try to obtain some feedback from local gp practice only to be fobbed off on 4 occasions - and by text! Eventually speak with hospital consultant secretary who advised consultant on holiday until 23 July but gp can view results via ice. Try and fobbed off again. Leave message with consultant secretary and phone gp Surgery. Surgery tell me they’ll ask gp to contact me on Monday. Later however that the consultant secretary has a letter ready to go out first class and should receive Saturday 13th. Letter duly received and diagnosis of barretts Oesophagus confirmed but no follow up or advice given. Monday afternoon I receive a text from Doctor advising that I contact pals if I have a complaint with hospital!!. I don’t have a complaint with anyone - I just want answers and as far as I was concerned it was my own Doctor who requested the tests - not the hospital. This was not made clear and in any case I would now expect a call from my own Doctor advising ‘next steps’. Preston Road Surgery are fantastic but on this occasion - nothing is clear, it seems I’m being fobbed off and I’m still in pain with no further advice on what happens now.

  4. Review titled Wonderful as always!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently used the E-Consult for 2 of my children and as always a quick and fantastic response from our family Doctor. Prescriptions sent straight to our local Chemist. Couldn't ask for more. Me feel incredibly lucky to have him as our Doctor.

  5. Review titled Wonderful Doctor

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Gemma - Posted on 19 December 2023

The Doctor I saw on the 19/12/23 has restored my faith in the NHS. I could not have wished for a more pleasant experience. He had a wonderful bedside manner which seems hard to come by these days and makes the world of difference. I felt he genuinely cared about getting to the route cause of the problems I've been experiencing and I left feeling relieved and valued as a patient. He was extremely thorough in his examination and spent time to ask me all relevant questions relating to my issues. I had bloods taken and an ECG the same day. The stand out level of care was that he actually listened to me, which I think made the biggest difference and is unfortunately missing when you talk to a number of health care professionals. He would be a credit to any practice and I really hope the future of General Practitioners is shaped to look just like him. Thank you, your kindness and passion for the job you trained so hard for, shined through in abundance. Congratulations on being an outstanding Doctor.

  6. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susan van der Pas - Posted on 01 September 2023

Today my pharmacy failed to fill an important prescription - I’m going abroad and would run out. Spent a hour trying to get through to any pharmacy - no replies. Phoned the surgery who referred me to prescribing team. They rang back in 30 mins - late on a Friday afternoon, and had found a pharmacy stocking my meds so I was able to fulfil it today. Top marks for efficiency and saving me a lot of stress. Thank you

  7. Review titled Excellent experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Val Warren - Posted on 26 June 2023

I phoned the surgery mid morning. The receptionist was very helpful and said my GP would ring later that morning. A detailed consultation took place facilitated by a photograph which was easy to send. An electronic prescription was issued immediately. The whole process was speedy and efficient.
