  1. Review titled Appallingly badly run practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Gaynor T - Posted on 12 September 2024

I have been with this practice for over 20 years and it’s always been fantastic until now. I have had a number of health concerns this year and on each occasion have had to wait over a month to get an appointment. I saw a doctor yesterday and unsurprisingly have to wait another month to get the blood test she requested and can’t get the follow up until October 16th - this is calling to make the appointment today 12th September. This seems to be the norm now with this practice, so I visited the NHS app today to research alternative surgeries and notice that Whalley are still accepting new patients. How can they justify taking on more when they can’t look after the ones they have already. I’m not sure whether they’ve changed management or what the problem is, but I would avoid registering with this surgery at all costs.

  2. Review titled Lack of duty of care

by Andrea - Posted on 09 August 2024

Been trying to get an appointment for 2 months now I cannot call on the day as I work so I give them dates to which I can attend and these are in advance only to be told no call back in the morning and we will see if we can fit you in. This is not a careing practice. I managed to get a nurses appointment for my bloods went in for my appointment 1420 the screen were you sign in was not working the receptionist advised she would log me in 25 mins later and suffering with anxiety I still had not been seen do walked out. This is not good for my mental health.

  4. Review titled Fabulous and professional service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Our 1 year old had tonsillitis and needed to be seen at the end of the day. The Doctor fitted us in and treated our little boy. He was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond for us. We are very grateful. Thank you so much. We have always had great experiences with the surgery, but this was a particularly exceptional one.

Polite, efficient and friendly receptionists, nurses and doctors. I was seen on time today. There is sometimes a wait but they try their best to deliver a good service in difficult cicumstances. Thank you to all the staff there!
