Went to the surgery for my flu jab today no waiting about booked in sat down and was called in nurse was lovely and helpful Staff were polite and helpful

I rang at 7:59 and i was 17th in the queue when i spoke to the receptionist i was told no appointment's left try again tomorrow. i was informed its first come will get an appointment this is unacceptable. Please can the practice manager explain why they are not opening up there appointment slots in advance this is problem for patient health and wellbeing. There is no care of duty with this surgery you cannot give out appointment's but are still accepting new patients ,you cannot help the one you all ready have this is so unacceptable .

We are working hard to review and maximise appointment availability across Aston Healthcare, as well as our telephony services. We currently have a range of appointment slots available with a diverse team of highly qualified and experienced practitioners to meet the needs of our patients. Your feedback is important and I will consider this for the creation of future clinics in respect of quantity of 'On the day' and 'Routine bookable' appointments that are being made available. I arrived at Aston to make my warfarin order to find the practice closed. I would appreciate a notice informing me that Aston are in a training session please? I had to enquire at Boots along with two other people who were puzzled by the situation. I learned, also, no-one was manning the phones in the practice that afternoon for me to place my order. Please could you make it clear when your training sessions are. Thank you.

Thank you for leaving this review. All feedback left for Aston Healthcare helps to inform us what we do well and where required, learning and development needs to take place. We are currently reviewing how we communicate notices such as these to our patients and hope that we can share developments with this soon. We currently have another training afternoon on 24/11/2024. The surgery is shut for all services from 12.30pm. We open as usual at 8am on 25/11/2024. There are currently notices on display at each surgery, informing patients of this closure.
