I've been fortunate not to need medical care from my surgery much, but in this last week I've needed to submit e-consults, speak to the on-call doctor and then further follow up. The care from staff has been exemplary. The reception staff attentive and helpful, the 3 doctors I spoke with all very helpful, with Drs H and H going out of their way to be extra helpful. I'm very grateful for your help and know positive feedback isn't as quick to come by as negative!

We received excellent attention from the reception team, the doctor and the paramedic attached to the surgery recently when I reported that my husband was suffering from an extremely high fever. Their prompt response resulted in him being hospitalised within an hour for a serious condition. We have been with this practice for 35 years and consider ourselves fortunate to receive such good service.

My father is receiving palliative care at home. He recently developed an infection. The care and support that we have received from the doctors and the District Nurses has been exceptional. We as a family cannot thank the practice enough for all their attention.

It takes at least a month, often closer to six weeks, to get an appointment, whether with a doctor, nurse or HCA. Even the message given when phoning in seems to be saying 'go elsewhere, we cannot help you' by giving details of urgent care centres in Newcastle.

I recently returned to the area and registered with the practice. I booked an appointment with a GP. My problem is more mental than physical. The GP listened carefully and prompted me so that I could express my concerns fully. We discussed medication and I have a medication that suits my needs. I was referred to a mental health practitioner who phoned me within an hour. I had an appointment with her a few days later. I was again given time to tell my story and to explore non-pharmaceutical approaches. I have been referred to two other sources of help. In a few days I will have a telephone assessment. I am aware that I may have to wait for further support. This is because of high demand and not because of deficiencies in general practice. I have been treated with care and compassion. I have been listened to and nd given the time I needed to access the services I need. Every member of staff in the practice has treated me with dignity and respect. I am very grateful to all of you.
