  1. Review titled After test Results no Appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 August 2024

I recently had a blood test and received a text message asking me to book an appointment. I've called many times, visited the surgery five times, and spent the last two hours on the phone trying to get through. When I first called, I was the 40th person in line, and after two hours of waiting, I was still only number 14. In desperation, I went to the surgery while still on the call, only to be told that all appointments for the next two months are fully booked. I was advised that it's pointless to keep coming in or calling. If the surgery is so overwhelmed, why are they continuing to register more patients? I know someone who lives four miles away in Downs Barn and has been assigned to White House Surgery. There are clearly some serious issues at this surgery that need to be addressed.

  2. Review titled Imposible to get an appointment

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 August 2024

Hi, I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the service I received from your practice. This morning, I called the practice at 8am, as soon as the lines opened, in hopes of securing an appointment. Unfortunately, I was kept on hold for an astonishing 1 hour and 35 minutes before finally getting through to a receptionist. To my dismay, I was then informed that there were no appointments available for today. I understand that GP practices are often very busy and appointments can be limited. However, it is incredibly frustrating and concerning to spend such a significant amount of time on hold only to be told that no appointments are available. This not only wastes patients' time but also causes undue stress, especially for those who are unwell and in need of medical attention. If there is no capacity then don't take new patients. Please advice how this can be sorted.

This practice is very poor, do not use. I have been trying to call the surgery to book an appointment. It was impossible to get through to the reception, long wait on the telephone line. No one answered the call. I have been trying to get an appointment for two weeks. They never have appointment to see the GP.

  5. Review titled Disappointed with Staff behavior and booking system.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Hamid - Posted on 11 June 2024

Yesterday, I called Whitehouse Surgery, and my place in the queue was 13th. After a long hold, I went to the surgery reception in person, requesting an appointment for my Son. I was told we are fully booked today. Contact us tomorrow at 08:00 am, which makes sense. After yesterday's long hold on the phone, I went to reception in person at 08:00 am. They told me all appointments were already booked. I humbly said It is just 08:00 am. How can all slots be booked already? The other staff member I was not even talking to Jumped into the conversation. She said we told you to call us. I asked who would pick up the phone. The staff mentioned we would pick up the phone. I asked how it would matter if I came in person or called when I reached the same staff, and the answer was definitely the same: we are fully booked. The staff whom I was not talking to unhappily commented, "Take him to the walk-in centre" My question is, I was the first person at 08:00 a.m., and they told me we were fully booked. It means all the slots were booked in advance. If that was the case, why did they ask me to contact the Surgery the next day at 08:00 am when there was no appointment? Let me also mention that it is not the first time I have had an unpleasant experience. Previously, I booked the appointment for my son's figure dressing with the nurse and got a confirmation text message on the phone. When I went for an appointment, I was not able to check-in. I spoke to reception, who said your appointment is not in the system. I showed the confirmation text. She said I don't know, but I can schedule an appointment in 45 minutes. The appointment I was expecting, 10 minutes, took about an hour.

  7. Review titled Badly lacking Administration

Badly lacking administration ★★ Rated 2 stars out of 5 by Anonymous - Posted on 29 March 2024 I tried over a week to contact by phone and then gave up, this after having to call 111 over the weekend whilst not well but the surgery did not even bother to get in touch with me! Doctors are great, staff are pleasant but administration is zero! No organisation of phones and appointments, no piscription manager ie a pharmacist, no organised calls answering service, no online proper organised running of the practice in general, imposable to be contacted by phone or otherwise making it very hard work to talk to any staff member! What a shame it started off well but very bad management I guess. 😞 Visited December 2023

  8. Review titled Unorganised and unreliable

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 February 2024

This surgery started off great but has gone massively downhill. Its so hard to get an appointment and you're always in a really long queue on the phone. When you do get through, staff appear helpful but are very unreliable. If you have any issues with prescriptions or appointments then they'll promise to look into it for you and you never hear back. I had an appointment cancelled because they completed the correct form, I called back to rebook and was told I would hear back that afternoon, I didn't hear anything so I called back and it went to an automated message that the phone lines were closed for prearranged training so they obviously never had any intention of calling me back.

  10. Review titled Worst surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 June 2023

I have been with this surgery for over a year and I feel its the worst surgery ever. You cannot get appointments to see a doctor even when u call as warly as 8am to make one- they always give Nurse Appointment. Tried over 2 days to get an appointment as I need to see a doctor but to no avail. And they ask if you want an appointment a month away
