Review titled Good care
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Alan Chapman - Posted on 19 May 2023
I was attended to by the nursing team and the level of care given as well as the professionalism demonstrated was much appreciated. Any questions or concerns I had were answered and if required a GP was on hand to provide additional advice and treatment. I felt very well cared for

I know it’s tough getting an appointment these days and you have to wait but if you hang in there the surgery will sort something for you. Always polite and helpful. Thanks for the great service.

Review titled Absolutely disappointed
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have a serious problem with Whitehouse's surgery, because they don't want to give my daughter (41 months) immunizations. They always tell me to wait for a supposed letter that never arrives. I need to travel on April 1 and I have asked for help. And they always tell me at the reception that these vaccines are not important for my daughter, or that the only ones that matter are the vaccinations of the year and before. why do they say that? It goes against the World Health Organization and the National Health Service. And I have already had the same problem when my daughter turned one year old because notification of her vaccines never came and after complaining many times, they were given 2 months late. Why do the reception staff play at being doctors? Instead of accepting that there is a mistake in the management of this health center, they always make ridiculous excuses. I also spoke to the manager, and I asked him to help me, and his solution is that I go to Masta and pay for the vaccinations my daughter needs. My family already pays high taxes. Why do I have to pay more to get my daughter vaccinated? these vaccines (3y & 4m) are necessary and mandatory. They have also told me another excuse for her to wait until she is 4 years old, and in the meantime my daughter could get sick with something very serious. And on top of that, there are never appointments to see my daughters when they need it. And if I ever get an appointment, they cancel it the same day as they have already done 4 times this year. It is unfair that they do this with the health of children. And I have asked for a referral letter to go to Bupa, because we are also paying for it, and they say they can't. I am really worried about the health of my little ones. I only ask if they can't. make an appointment at this health center, make an appointment at a different one than if I have a GP or nurses. Please, I need help, I need to guarantee the health care of my little ones when they need it. And above all, my daughter who is over 3 years old needs her vaccines.

Review titled Excellent practice

Great service from reception to nurses and doctors. Impeccable kindness and they go above and beyond for their patients. I had surgical wounds seen to without an appointment because they prioritised my health and wellbeing and speedy test results with kind and swift suggestions of way forward. I felt looked after

Review titled Always cancelled appointments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Esther Ferrero - Posted on 22 March 2023
The service of this health center is very bad, horrible. In almost 3 years that I have registered my family is a disaster. The appointments for my daughters' vaccines are never on time, they give me many excuses, and finally I have to insist many times for my daughters to be vaccinated, sometimes very late and other times I'm still waiting. My big problem is with my 3-year-old and 4-month-old daughter who doesn't want to make an appointment for me. They even tell me that it is not an important vaccine, another person said to wait for me at 4 years. And with the flu vaccine, they have already canceled it several times because there is no nurse. They don't offer any solution, I ask if another nurse or doctor can do it, and there never is. And they don't want to make an appointment with me at another health center either. And while my daughter is getting very sick. They are playing with the health of my little ones! and they have never booked appointments at the walking center either, and I know other Whitehouse parents have. Why not my little ones? Why do they give me this discriminatory treatment?

I would just like to say that Whitehouse is a wonderful practice. Everyone I’ve dealt with from the receptionists to the doctors have been so helpful and dedicated. I would particularly like to thank all of the nurses who have been treating me. They are always cheerful, pleasant and caring.

Review titled Decent practice
Rated 2 stars out of 5

One receptionist only, really busy, saw the doctor but he failed to write a prescription for my 6 year old, was told by the farmacist that the cream requested is administered for under 10 by prescription only, had to return to the practice where the receptionist was alone and on the phone, left and had to call from home…. And the gp issued the prescription. Hopefully the cream works as for the nhs I have no hope. Understaffed and poor payed. How can appointment be made for that day only and 150 people call at the same time at 8.00 how can that be the standard in 2023? Why not appointments for next week a month from today when people have days off. Why are you collecting reviews? You know there is no money invested in the nhs. I lived in Canada most of my life and that health system allowed my kids to have a paediatrician since birth alongside with the gp. My blood pressure was monitored by a cardiologist with proper investigations and tests. Save the money get rid of the nhs and have it all private as this doesn’t do much. Either do it right or don’t have it at all. The receptionist are usually pleasant (not sure how they can do it for minimum wage)
