  1. Review titled Almost impossible to make an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am fully aware of the pressure that the NHS is under and do not wish to bother them with minor, temporary complaints. However, I am now in my sixties and suffer from two co-morbidities which will probably shorten my life. I have not seen my GP for two years, nor have I had what was supposed to be an annual blood test in that time. My medication should have been reviewed almost a year ago, but that hasn't happened, either and I need to make an appointment to discuss these matters, along with a couple of persistent ailments, which I believe may be related to my pre-existing medical condition. The reception at this practice refuse point blank, to allow me to make an appointment over the 'phone or in person, insisting that I can only do so online; but when I try to do that, I get a message on the screen saying that no online bookings are available. When I pointed this out, I was told that appointments are limited in number and I must try first thing in the morning, at a time when I am normally driving to work. When I complain that this is unacceptable, I am told that, "it's just the new system and that's the way it works." There are no exceptions, no alternatives and no compassion. I feel like I am being made to enter a lottery, in order to get a simple appointment with a GP - a situation which is causing me stress and anxiety, as I apparently have no recourse.

  2. Review titled Dreadful service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I find it harder to get an appointment with my GP than with the Pope. My family and I have constantly tried to get an emergency appointment with a doctor, today, yet again, we got through to the surgery at 2.00 clock to be told all the appointments have been taken, how can this happen? We were advised to e-consult but the last time we did this the advice we were given was to call the surgery. I feel that this surgery is doing its utmost to push patients to A & E rather than deal with the problem themselves, we never had this issue before Covid so why is it so difficult now? I used to rave about how good the surgery was and how everybody within the practice was working so hard for the patients but I cannot honestly say I feel this way now. I have left my name on this review which will probably mean that I will get struck off of the patient list but unless we make our feelings known then nothing is ever going to change.
