Having worked through NHS111 and A&E with a UTI but having little or no improvement, I attended (with my wife) a face to face appointment on 3July with a young doctor whom we took to possibly be a trainee or locum. He was clearly aware of my anxiety and was very thorough and clear in his examination and explanation. The test results had that day been received by the surgery, and he noted that the specific e-coli strain I was infected with was resistant to the antibiotics I had originally been prescribed by NHS111, which was the base guidance on UTI infections, and that the second prescription (two days previous) would show to be working within a day or so. We left the surgery much relieved by this outlook. Three hours later, the young man telephoned me at home to say he had looked further into to the lab report, and that more detail that was not at first visible suggested that a different (third) antibiotic would better target my infection and that he had prepared a prescription for me. I collected this shortly after and started the new course immediately. Three days later I am beginning to feel much better. This has been exceptional service and would you please pass on my thanks to the young man, and wish him well for his future in the profession.

I have been dealing with an an ongoing issue with my medication recently and the whole team at Windsor house have been great and supportive the whole time; receptionists, doctor, pharmacist and pharmacy technicians. I have to give special praise to the practice pharmacist I spoke to today. He was able to explain things very clearly to me and spent such valuable time addressing my concerns. I felt so listened to and he was really knowledgable which gave me a lot of confidence going forward. I ended the call feeling heard and respected with my anxiety hugely reduced, thank you so so much. Thanks to the whole team for all your hard work in these busy times, please do know it is appreciated by many of us!

Dear Amy I would like to thank you on behalf of the Practice for your kind words. Often patients inform us when things aren't going well and it refreshing for patients to take the time to let us know 'we sometimes get it right'. The team here at the Windsor House Group Practice always try to offer an excellent level of care and compassion to our patients in what is a very difficult and stressful time for everyone associated with General Practice. I know that surgeries are really busy at the moment but I have found that I’m always able to get an appointment when needed. I always feel listened to by the staff - doctors and secretaries included. Reception staff really informed and helpful, thank you.

I called up this morning for an appointment and once I got through the receptionist was polite and offered me a number of different appointment slots when I couldn't make the first one. Thank you so much, keep up the good work :)
