Having worked through NHS111 and A&E with a UTI but having little or no improvement, I attended (with my wife) a face to face appointment on 3July with a young doctor whom we took to possibly be a trainee or locum. He was clearly aware of my anxiety and was very thorough and clear in his examination and explanation. The test results had that day been received by the surgery, and he noted that the specific e-coli strain I was infected with was resistant to the antibiotics I had originally been prescribed by NHS111, which was the base guidance on UTI infections, and that the second prescription (two days previous) would show to be working within a day or so. We left the surgery much relieved by this outlook. Three hours later, the young man telephoned me at home to say he had looked further into to the lab report, and that more detail that was not at first visible suggested that a different (third) antibiotic would better target my infection and that he had prepared a prescription for me. I collected this shortly after and started the new course immediately. Three days later I am beginning to feel much better. This has been exceptional service and would you please pass on my thanks to the young man, and wish him well for his future in the profession.

I have been dealing with an an ongoing issue with my medication recently and the whole team at Windsor house have been great and supportive the whole time; receptionists, doctor, pharmacist and pharmacy technicians. I have to give special praise to the practice pharmacist I spoke to today. He was able to explain things very clearly to me and spent such valuable time addressing my concerns. I felt so listened to and he was really knowledgable which gave me a lot of confidence going forward. I ended the call feeling heard and respected with my anxiety hugely reduced, thank you so so much. Thanks to the whole team for all your hard work in these busy times, please do know it is appreciated by many of us!

Often patients inform us when things aren't going well and it refreshing for patients to take the time to let us know 'we sometimes get it right'. I know that surgeries are really busy at the moment but I have found that I’m always able to get an appointment when needed. I always feel listened to by the staff - doctors and secretaries included. Reception staff really informed and helpful, thank you.

I called up this morning for an appointment and once I got through the receptionist was polite and offered me a number of different appointment slots when I couldn't make the first one. Thank you so much, keep up the good work :)

I have received fantastic care support and attention across all three surgeries. From the Admin and Reception teams nurses and doctors. All GP surgeries are under so much pressure, but the standard remains first class. I couldn't access my results online, my account was reset enabling me to do this within minutes of filling an online request . My problems are complex but each and every person offers support. Thank you so much.

I have had to visit the Practice a lot over the past few years because of the chronic illnesses I have. However, I have had to visit a lot more over the last year because of the illnesses flaring and the diagnosis of a new one. I have been seen by the practice nurses, spoken with the resident pharmacist and been seen by the GPs all are brilliant. I can honestly say that with every member of staff, (GPs, nurses, pharmacist, receptionists), at Windsor House Group Practice I have felt listened to and looked after. I feel like my opinion matters. My experience is that all actions regarding my health are done with care, compassion and arethoughtfully considered.

I have only been a patient with you for around a year and l felt l wanted to give you some feedback. Firstly my experience either face to face or over the phone with the receptionists has been nothing but positive. I have found every receptionist extremely professional but more than anything approachable and friendly. To give an example l visited Adwalton House last week and was very impressed with the receptionist who left her desk to show me where l needed to go to see the physiotherapist. l replied “thank you so much “and she replied “you are more than welcome”. Please can you feedback to all the receptionists that they are doing an amazing job. Secondly each and every Doctor, nurse, physiotherapist and Diabetic nurse l have seen have been truly professional , approachable but more than anything have always treated me with dignity and respect involving me in all decisions around my care. A massive thank you to all the valuable staff at Windsor House group practice you are all doing a fantastic job.

Awful surgery, started calling at 08:00am didn’t get through until 11:45am even used the web form and they managed to respond to that before answering the phone, which they suggested I called the surgery for an appointment. Seriously that is what they advised, come on Windsor house I am hold waiting to book an appointment. Once I finally spoke to a human they advised no appointments left and to try again the following day. The admin staff are useless, no idea about the actual doctors or nurses as I have never seen one and had to resort to an online doctor and paid for the service. What is the point of registering with the doctors if you can’t get an appointment.

As you can appreciate the phones are extremely busy when we open for business from 8am. We have between 11 to 15 x receptionist / admin staff answering the phone lines to try and ensure that we deal with appointment requests as promptly as possible. Unfortunately due to the demand for appointments on occasions patients may find it difficult to get through to a receptionist as speedily as they may think.
