  1. Review titled Disappointed

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 March 2025

As a dedicated clinical professional working within the NHS, I must express my deep disappointment regarding my recent visit to the surgery. This was my first appointment in over a year, and, regrettably, I left feeling nothing more than a mere number in an overcrowded system. After enduring a lengthy wait of 35 minutes, I finally had the opportunity to see the doctor. However, I quickly realized that my concerns, which involved multiple symptoms, were met with a frustrating limitation. I was informed that I should have scheduled a double appointment, as the practice only permits discussion of one issue per visit. This experience was truly disheartening. Having been associated with this practice since childhood, I have always held it in high regard and recommended it to others. Unfortunately, my faith has been shaken, and I can no longer speak positively about it as I once did. I believe that in this profession, it's essential to demonstrate care and compassion towards patients. It's important to ensure that every individual feels valued and not as though they're taking up too much time up.

Would like to praise the surgery, we often rush to be negative but I had a fantastic service this week. Phones were busy but was able to use their call back service and managed to get an on the day appointment with the nurse, would recommend the surgery

  3. Review titled No concept of the words “Duty of Care”

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Fran Clark - Posted on 15 December 2023

I had cause to call the surgery and requested a telephone consult due to me not being able to mobilise independently. I informed them that the physiotherapist had told me to make contact as she was concerned. I broke my right patella and am unable to bend my knee due to a right patella tension wire fixation operation and wearing a knee splint. I also suffered a fragility fracture in my back. Having spoken to a care navigator this am due to numbness from my mid region to just above my knees I was told I needed to be seen. Having stated I was unable to get to the surgery I was told “well there’s nothing we can do unless you can get here. Is there no one to bring you? Can you get in a taxi”. My reply was no and I asked how they expected me to access a cashpoint as I had no cash and I’m unable to mobilise independently. I am unable to bend my knee to get in a car! I was then told “well there’s nothing we can do unless you can get here so shall I book you in” I was completely astounded by that and My response was no forget it! This surgery has been abysmal since a change in management structure due to retirement of the lead Doctor. I have also been told I am unable to make a complaint electronically and have to write a letter. I asked how am I supposed to access a post box. This surgery has no idea that they have a duty of care to their patients and do whatever possible to not offer care services expected by the NHS.

  4. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Spent 40 minutes on hold to only move up 5 places (from 15 to 10) no matter how many times i ask to be seen by a doctor as i am unhappy with the service over the phone i am always denied access. I have been with this practice my whole life so far and in the past year i have noticed a massive decline in the service being provided. Can never get appointments unless over the phone when this is not that helpful to me and have said i would prefer a face to face

  5. Review titled Unacceptable service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I spent 30 minutes yesterday, trying to get my son an emergency appointment.(just been discharged from a major hospital with a life-threatening condition, and told to contact GP for further treatment) was told to ring back this morning. he’s just spent 30 minutes on hold and now no appointments. this is totally ridiculous and a totally inadequate service.how many emergency appointments, do they have in a day if they can all be taken within the first half hour of being open?

  6. Review titled Great Service

I have been with the practice for a number of years and was seen with my daughter by one of the female Doctors. She was professional and truly cared for her, what a fantastic service we were given. Everything was explained and a plan was made regarding her care. In a time when most only give negative feedback, I wanted to highlight the fact we had a positive experience and the care from not only the people answering the phones(and yes it takes some time to get through but everywhere is the same) to the Doctors. Well done!!!
