Not all departments are bad, the reception has been amazing, and when I requested birth control the nurse was brilliant and very cautious. The rest of my experience has not been so good. I moved here recently from South Africa. I am disabled/visually impaired (Ocutanious Albinism and Nystagmus) and to this date, about over 2 months in, I have not been referred to a low vision clinic. When I had my first appointment/health check I told the Healthcare assistant all of my disabilities and conditions and after getting a summary health record I see only 1 out of the 6 is listed. Now I am still new to the NHS system and I am still learning about its procedures so if a healthcare assistant can not refer to other healthcare then I understand but then why wasn't the information passed on to a GP to get hold of me to discuss it or have me scheduled in for an appointment. I had a flu vaccination on the 31st of January 2023 and it's now March and to this date, it's not appeared on my NHS record. The practice did receive a notification from a pharmacy. Let alone I cannot see my blood results for the blood taken on the 19th of January 2023. I actually had to get a physical copy from the practice.
