I would like to thank the clinician for her help and understanding while dealing with me. She completed a full set of blood work and adjusted my medication with very successful results. Nice to be treated as an individual by a friendly but professional clinician.

  2. Review titled Above and Beyond Customer Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Matthew Towner - Posted on 11 October 2024

I had a very particular request that I required support with. This required k**** to undertake some additional work which likely wouldn't have been the reasonable expectation of what she would have been required to do to respond to my query. She took the time to find an appropriate way to assist me and to confirm that the information that she had provided me fully satisfied my requirement. She made a process that I was nervous would not be possible incredibly easy to get the outcome I was hoping for. Incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She is a credit to your surgery and I am sincerely grateful for her going above and beyond to help me today.

  3. Review titled Innovation here means much harder to contact

Rated 2 stars out of 5

    by Christopher Slater-Walker - Posted on 15 October 2024

I have a regular repeat prescription. From time to time I cannot order it through the NHS app because they say it needs to be reviewed. It has become much harder to contact this surgery in the last 12-18 months. You can't leave them a message in the NHS app and for some reason their online services never work for me so I have to jump through various hoops just to get a message to them, and there is nothing giving me any confidence that the message is actually received. The phone just takes you through a menu system that redirects you right back to the NHS app that I can't use. If you're in a hurry for your repeat prescription, well, good luck. You might get more luck from your pharmacy in fact.

  4. Review titled Appalling

Rated 1 star out of 5

My mother left hospital near on 3 weeks ago after quite a long stay due to stage 4 heart failure. Her medications had been changed whilst in hospital. We have contacted the surgery since leaving hospital to have her new meds updated ready for her new prescription, this was also sent via her cardiologist to the surgery. After many calls and many wrong deliveries she has now run out of the most important prescription for her heart failure due to this not being updated for the last 3 weeks! We have been told lie after lie saying this will be complete from the inhouse pharmacy! It was promised it would be with her today 09.09.24 but yet again she has had to go another day without taking these vital tablets twice a day! Absolutely disgusting behaviour from what should be a profession that should be saving lives not harming them! I have tried to contact the practice manager but always no avail! I would like for the practice manager to contact me asap!!! This is unacceptable.

  5. Review titled Positive experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Rachel - Posted on 13 July 2024

I like to give positive feedback as it is all too easy to moan. I had a very positive and stress free experience booking an appointment for my daughter. It is always quite stressful juggling work and poorly children along with the stress of trying to get a doctors appointment but I rang up on the day and was given an early morning appointment which was hugely helpful. We were seen promptly and were greeted with a good morning as we arrived at the surgery in Wootton which is a small thing but can make.a difference to your day. We got what we needed for my daughter and I am grateful for the service provided today.

  6. Review titled Great communication and advice GP.

Always timely and professional advice. I use online services for repeated prescriptions and any advice which was always followed by a reply regarding next steps or an appointment if needed.

  7. Review titled Helpful and fast

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Leigh - Posted on 26 June 2024

I really dislike having to make dr appointments, I’m conscious of the limited availability and the stress receptionists must suffer. This really wasn’t an issue today at Shortstown surgery as the kind receptionist was so helpful and able to book me an appointment that fitted in with my calendar (non urgent). Thank you shortstown it’s a comfort knowing you are there to help us. 10/10

  8. Review titled Missing medication orders often

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 June 2024

For a few months when I request medication online, I am experiencing that some medication are missing from orders. So I had call the practice, then they ask me to call the pharmacy etc. When I called the pharmacy I learnt that the practice hasn't requested the right dose of a one medication and didn't request another medication I need monthly. I wonder why it is keep happening and it is too much effort to chase medication every month. This is not efficient. I think this is happening to the other patients too. When pharmacist used to request prescriptions from the practice, I didn't have an issue. They were very efficient and professional. Where is it going wrong? I have multiple medical problems and this adding stress to my life which I don't need.

  9. Review titled Very nice and professional GPs, but hard to contact

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Messaging has recently been disabled on the NHS app and econsult has been stopped too. With the difficulty getting through on the phone line it has become very hard to contact the surgery.

I want to say thank you to the Clinical Pharmacist (who I can’t name as the system won’t allow a name )for sorting out my confusion over my Ozempic injections.
