    I was called today regarding a query I had regarding the menopause, the nurse was absolutely fantastic explaining what could happen and the solutions I could have and also sending literature for me to read . I was very pleased how the conversation went and was put at ease

    Originaly this was supposed to be a face to face appointment on 5th June but I was contacted with the option of having a telephone appointment to discuss my blood test results. This I agreed to and was told it would be an am call. Very happy I wasn't kept waiting too long and got results explained. Overall a good experience.

    The appointment system is awful. You have to keep dialing in to the surgery to listen to a recorded message saying "Your call is very important to us" until it drops out and the line disconnects. So far this morning I have tried 26 times to get through with no luck.

    Dear Gareth I am really sorry that you have been struggling to get through on the telephone. Our telephones are extremely busy, especially first thing in the morning.     I emailed my doctors surgery with an appointment request. I was called back and spoke to nurse, she was kind and listened, gave me advice and then sorted a GP call for me.I had a call from Gp to discuss my issue. I was dealt with promptly and kindly. Thank you wrafton house surgery.

    I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed that not only it is near impisdible to get through to the surgery via phone but once you need a blood test, it regularly doesn't get forwarded to the system. It is now 3rd time we went to QE2 for blood test appointment only to be turned away because there is no request from GP on the system.

    I’ve been trying to get an appointment for 3 days. On the first try, I called in the afternoon as the website suggests, and got a reply in 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I learned this is only for same day urgent evening appointments and was told to call in the morning. For Wednesday and today the phone rang for 30 minutes and timed out 3 times - 90 minutes and I was unable to get through. I then tried an on-line booking via Patient Access but after entering my ID and password you are asked for 3 letters from your long forgotten memorable word. When resetting the favourite word you are sent a code by text message. By the time the code came through it had expired. After five attempts I was locked out. So, on-line booking doesn’t work either. This is very frustrating, but I realise it is just the same at any other surgery. What to do?

They are extremely busy first thing in the morning and it usually eases off from approximately 11.00 am. You can try doing an e consult which is accessible from our website.     Ladies in reception are absolutely brilliant nothing is to much bother for them and they always go above and beyond to help. Doctors are also amazing

    It is reassuring to have a practice that tries to accommodate patients when possible. The best way to seek advice from practitioners is through online consultation because of the short-staffed reception. At the same time, the receptionists are otherwise responsive and welcoming and respectfully handle patients' requests. The practitioners' diagnoses and referrals have been most effective and helpful. Their post-op investigation and skills in translating medical jargon terms into plain English have been most resourceful and supportive.

    Really pleased I managed to get an appointment on the same morning I needed one. Receptionist was very accommodating and found me an earlier appointment that suited me better. Doctor was excellent. Listened to my symptoms, took time to diagnose (I never felt hurried at all), Explained what she thought might be wrong and told me to rest up and let the medicines take effect. Would also like to mention the pharmacist at boots who took time to talk me through how to use my medicines safely and effectively.
