When I phoned up to ask a question, I was put on hold for about 10 minutes. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and answered my questions. I was given the advice I was seeking and I got a telephone call appointment for the same evening. I spoke to one of the nurses Kate who was very helpful and pleasant to speak to.

Having suffered for some time with pain in my shoulder I decided to see my GP. On ringing the surgery, I was given an appt to see a physiotherapist (2 days later!). He examined me and diagnosed tendonitis. I was given excercises to do and advise. That evening the pain seemed even worse. I did an E-consult and the Dr called me the next morning. I was prescribed analgesia. The Dr explained everything to me. I am very impressed with the care I've had but do miss the face to face contact.

Iwas called to check on my blood pressure and whilst on the phone discussed my hrt. the nurse was lovely and informative. she discussed options regarding my blood pressure and hrt and has booked me a consultation with a dr

Wrafton house is a lovely surgery since I’ve been coming to Wrafton they have always been helpful and also managed to get me an appointment when needed. Staff have always been kind, friendly and attentive. Would Recommend the surgery!

Asked to book a review appointment, then after hours on the phone, to be told there are no appointment available. Told to call back next day and the same thing. No appointments. Repeat prescriptions for important medication are constantly late or not even actioned signed off at pharmacy request, Leading to loss of medication for several days. Not a one off , it happens almost every time. It had happened every time in the last 6 months. So without hospital prescribed medication for a week at a time until it’s sorted out. Receptionists ask about personal issues in open waiting area before they will even consider giving you an appointment. They give out private results to tests etc, so no privacy or confidentiality. I called for results and the receptionist said it’s all ok. They are not doctors or entitled to access my information.

Dear Patient I am really sorry about your bad experience of the surgery. Our reception staff work under the doctors guidance. They ask what the appointment is for so that the GP can prioritise them in order of importance. I am terribly frustrated with the service at this Practice from the reception, who are almost always rude and curt and sometimes comes across as plainly disrespectful, and even some of the doctors. I understand that they work in a stressful environment and sometimes have to deal with difficult situations. That does not give them the right to pass that type of treatment and behaviour along to the next patient. Ive been trying for 21 days now to get a follow up appointment with a doctor after seeing a consultant. Struggle to get through to speak to anyone to make an appointment. When you do manage to speak to someone you instantly wish you hadn’t. I am hopeful there is a better way forward!!!

Dear Conrad I am really sorry that you were unhappy with our service recently. All reviews are shared with the whole team and this will be a learning item at our next meeting. I know that the telephones can be extremely busy. Have you tried an e consult? These can be found on our website www.wraftonhousesurgery.co.uk. These are actioned daily and if needed passed to a doctor or nurse who will telephone you. I hope this helps. There are also a limited number of appointments each day for patients to book on line.
