I arrived, receptionist was friendly helped and explained showed me how to use the new machine to take blood pressure,weight,height, the nurse welcomed me, I was not rushed, showed genuine interest in my health, went through all my results with me in a way I understood, answered any questions I needed to ask,it was so so reassuring when you go in the surgery door worried about your health and then your local nurse goes above and beyond and you have all these tests done and checks done at your local surgery and your nurse gives you all the results and a 12monthly check then I leave the room feel so reassured and pleased and much better in myself. A very big Thank you to All the Doctors and Nurses and Receptionists for the past 12 months for looking after my health.

I phoned the surgery at 0800 today , got through at 0820, asked for an appointment or phone consultation to be told all appointments for today had gone, this after I had rang the last 4 days, I was told people queue at the reception to book appointments and that is why there were none left. I am 71yrs of age and recovering from a fractured hip and femur ,and they expect me to queue at the reception for an appointment. So I was offered an appointment at a nearby surgery for Saturday at 0900. This surgery used to be fantastic and Doctors would go to all lengths to help , however with 11 Doctors at the practice, no one seems bothered about patients these days. I’m not a complainer but felt so strongly about this , I felt I had to give my thoughts on todays fiasco.

I'm cut off 50% of the time. I call at 8am and are 2 in line and get cut off when I become 1. The reception staff can be curt and rude. So even if I do get through I don't get the help I want
