Review titled They ignore accessibility needs
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Natasha Baldock - Posted on 23 December 2024
I am autistic. This surgery continuously ignores my accessibility needs. I have lost count of the amount of times I have had to repeat not to call me. As a health service, this request should not need reiterating. Yet, I have had to repeat this information so many times that I have lost count. Their apologies mean nothing as they continue to ignore my very valid, request. Today was the most recent time that they called, and it was literally just after I had emailed stating not to call. This has been going on for as long as I have been with this surgery. My accessibility needs are ignored and I am disgusted.

Review titled Excellent service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kirsty Alexander-Bew - Posted on 23 April 2024
Sent in a message at 6.30am requesting an appointment for my daughter to see a specific dr. Wasn’t really expecting an appointment that week as I wanted to see a specific dr. However, received a phone call at 7.15am offering 3 different appointments available that day. The dr was excellent with her advice and her approach towards my daughter and made us both feel that she will help us resolve her ongoing health issues

Review titled Dreadful service

Could not get to see the GP at all, had to send them photos. Had to call back as no response from surgery, med in confidence photos then looked at by 'receptionist', had to ask for GP to look at them. Was told what my ailment wasn't not what I may have, I still don't know. Told if I wanted a face to face I would need to travel 10 miles to city centre walk in. Totally unacceptable.

Review titled Brilliant efficient practise
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chris P - Posted on 29 July 2023
I have always been impressed with the practise over the past 40 years. In the past 4or5 years I have had an increasing cause to contact the surgery either on line or by telephone. I have always been treated in a helpful way by receptionists, Doctors, Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists and ‘back room’ staff and been referred to specialists when needed. My current GP has been reassuring and very helpful recently. Thank you everyone for your care during the past few difficult years for the NHS

Review titled Great appointment
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a lot of issues at once, but the GP I saw was fantastic. He took the time to cover all my concerns and gave me the time and space to ask questions. I'm autistic and have PTSD from medical negligence/trauma, so I really value doctors who take the time and care to accommodate my complex emotional/psychological needs. I feel so relieved to have had my concerns about epilepsy listened to, and by giving me the chance to go into detail (which, with me being autistic, there was a lot of!), it became clear that I needed a referral to neurology. Too often, I get rushed out of appointments before I can explain what I'm trying to say, but finally, I have been listened to in full and will now have the appropriate care for a condition that has been brushed off for too long. Thank you! In addition to my original comment due to follow-up questions (no need to publish this bit, it's just an FYI): I find the system to access appointments inaccessible because I often have too much anxiety to use the phone or come in to book an appointment. The online booking system is often switched off, so I then have to find other ways to book or just don't get the opportunity to book at all. That is why I am extremely dissatisfied with the booking of appointments over the phone.
