Review titled Extremely poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by John Starkey - Posted on 27 November 2024
Having waited over 2 hours for a telephone consultation arranged by your practice, and sent a reminder again yesterday,I did not receive anything at all,so I went in to my Gps,to be told that it had been dealt with ,without any input from myself I think this was totally unprofessional, rude and totally naughty to take this decision when I needed further medication after having eye surgery something needs to be corrected when an individual com do this, fortunately I was dealt very professionally by the receptionist,to say that I was not happy was an understatement, this issue needs addressing

Review titled Awful
Rated 1 star out of 5

If your thinking of joing this surgery my advice would be to stay well away. It's a shambles. There are no appointments, there is no way to get through on the telephone. I was told to ring at 8am along with every other patient wanting an appointment so obviously the phone lines are at full capacity. When I finally got through I'm number 15 in the queue, 40 minutes later I'm still number 10, then when your finally number 2 the line will go dead. When physically attending the surgery there are no staff as they are all talking in the back room with the telephones ringing out. Then I'm told to ring at 8am as the rotas are not out. The Doctor only works 2 full days a week, so I'm not surprised there are no appointments available.

Review titled Face to Face GP Appointments
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julia - Posted on 29 February 2024
The biggest difference at this practice is that you can meet with the GP face-to-face. I saw both the GP and a Nurse during my visit, which is rare these days. It's hard to get in-person appointments now, so I was really happy with this. The GP listened to me, diagnosed my issue, and gave me the right medication. Being able to see the doctor in person made a big difference. Thank you.

Review titled Dismissive and unreachable at the best of times
Rated 1 star out of 5

You can never get an appointment, when you do the gp’s are so dismissive and basically make you feel like you’re insane. Takes multiple appointments to get taken seriously, was told i was fine for over a year until i got referred to a hospital and was told i did indeed have an issue. Went in for the third time about tinitus in my ear which hadn’t improved and was there for 2 minutes whilst they referred me, asked if they had some time to talk about my mental health and they shook their head and made a condescending face and said no id have to book another appointment. I hadn’t even used my 5 minute appointment time, i had had help before from the nhs regarding my mental health and all I wanted was to see if i could have someone to talk to, I’m a teacher and time is limited as is. The way they just brushed me off and never even asked what i needed help with before they dismissed me was shocking. I was quite upset and depressed before i had the appointment and they made me feel even more worthless. I can’t even book said appointment until next week because of how their system works, even then i have to wait over 2 and a bit weeks to see what they have available. Not only that, they were 25 minutes behind on appointments before i got my turn to go in, the least they could’ve done was hear me out. Will be changing surgery asap

Review titled Medication on prescription missing
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Glyn mason - Posted on 15 March 2023
My mother recently has been in hospital a number of times and her medication has changed over the last few months I have been into the doctors numerous times since Christmas and I have found one or two of the receptionist not to be very helpful and quite rude I have been in today as my mom is due further repeat medication. Lucky I checked with the chemist and yet again the prescription had some items missing I cannot believe that since Christmas this is still happing with my mom’s prescription

Review titled Mental Health Care Poor
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 December 2022
I have suffered with mental health for nearly 10 years. I need to talk about my medication as it no longer works, have never had a review. Can’t make an appointment, they’re all booked all the time. Was told to call 111.

Review titled Excellent practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had my Gynaecology appointment yesterday morning, (which in the past I have had difficulty with the procedure process, due to personal reasons). I cannot thank the doctor and nurse enough for their support, patience and caring attitude in my appointment from start to finish. Even at my worse moments, they helped me to have a successful smear test, without needing medication. Thank you so much, for being so understanding.

Review titled Not as bad as they used to be…
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 December 2022
I’ve previously left bad reviews because it was just impossible to get an appointment at this surgery, however I’ve needed antibiotics twice in the last 6 months and although it does take a while to get through on the phone (30 mins both times) I got a telephone appointment for the same day and a prescription sent straight to the pharmacy within minutes. So perhaps they’ve upped their game since covid? I’ve heard worse things about other local surgeries so I’ll stick this one out for now.
