  1. Review titled No response

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Sue Whitlock - Posted on 12 November 2024

On the 6/11/24 I used the online service as required to request a consultation with my diabetic nurse I had a message back on the 8th to say she wasn't available but a doctor would call that day. I didn't receive a call or any communication phoned back on Monday 11th to be told that the other diabetic nurse would call that day it is now 9.35 on the 12th and I am sat in a queue on the telephone system to find out what went wrong this time I'm sure they just hope you will go away The annoying music and the recorded message telling me I could possibly be seen in the minor injuries unit doesn't help either as it doesn't actually state when these are very helpful

The doctor was very polite and comfy to be around. She explained everything to me and took into consideration all the details I have provided. Will definitely have more appointments with her when needed

Dear Mr Jenkins, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that our service has fallen short of our usual standard on this occasion. When the appointments have reached capacity each day, we will signpost patients to other services which may be available, or ask them to call back the next day, if there are no other services to meet our patients needs. However, there are exceptions to this, so I apologise that further information wasn't taken from you at the time of the call. If you would like me to look into this further for you please complete a feedback form via our practice website https://yorkleighsurgery.co.uk/services/managing-your-health-online/online-forms/feedback/, including the day and time at which you called. Regardless of whether you decide to provide additional information, I will follow this up with the wider team, to ensure we can use this as a learning event, to prevent this happening in the future. Kind Regards Katharine Pearce Deputy Practice Manager

  6. Review titled Fantastic follow-up

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Kate M - Posted on 19 April 2024

Took my 15 week old daughter to the surgery after a last minute appointment to check a potential eye infection. The GP was really fantastic with my daughter and gave lots of reassuring advice about how best to deal with a blocked tear duct and keep it infection-free. I received a follow-up phone call later in the week from the same GP to check that my daughter's eye wasn't getting any worse and to confirm following the advice that the blocked duct was improving. Excellent service.

Nothing was too much trouble and all three practitioners that I met with my two year old daughter were brilliant with her.

  8. Review titled Outstanding Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by S A - Posted on 26 April 2024

I have ongoing health issues and, at my latest appointment, the Dr thoroughly discussed the health issues and explained the next stage of treatment. I, as always, had the utmost care and support from the Dr and all the staff at the Surgery - they were extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring. Despite the pressures they are under, they continue to be a beacon of excellence.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Over the past two months I have had a blood test to check diabetes and cholesterol, and been checked for sun skin damaged. At both visits I was seen in a timely manner, and efficiently dealt with, receiving blood test results in a day, and a prescription for my skin damage straight away. Both practitioners being friendly too.

My GP has been very proactive in initiating diagnostic tests and as soon as results became available I received a phone call where the GP gave me detailed feedback and explained to me the results very thoroughly
