  1. Review titled They abruptly ended the call

    by piscesbh47 - Posted on 20 June 2023

I fainted randomly while sat down and had tingly legs and arms - explained this. I called 111 and the person I spoke to said I needed to go back to hospital (previously had an ecg) to have another ecg. They were talking fast and I couldn’t hear them well so asked to slow down. I explained that it was late and that I couldn’t get to A&E at this time (nearly 1am), they then suggested that I should get a taxi and I explained I couldn’t get a taxi as I couldn’t afford one. They then kinda huffed and asked if I knew the risks - and again I explained that I couldn’t afford one. They abruptly ended the call saying to call my GP in the morning.I was left in tears and panicked.

  2. Review titled Help when help was needed

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Tonight I was at my wits end dealing with my fathers dementia. He turned against me and was in danger of putting himself in danger. The paramedics who attended were so patient and reassuring to him and helped to calm him down. Not only that they were patient and reassuring to me, dad’s main carer, a person at the end of their tether, sleep deprived and very cynical of the NHS. Great job girls, thank you so much.

  3. Review titled First class service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

On 18 June we had cause to dial 999 as my elderly mother in law was found unconscious in the shower. Not only was the service speedy and efficient but carried out with the utmost respect for my MIL. The paramedics were absolutely brilliant and she owes her life to them - so saying thank you doesn’t really cover it. We (my husband and I ) are so thankful for their speedy assessment of the situation and the swift action they took in an attempt to make my MIL more comfortable. This, I’m sure played a contributory factor in her recovery. Many, many thanks from the friends and family of a 92 year old lady.
