Very pleasant experience getting a bone scan today. Light hearted interactions, friendly, non critical ie positive. It all helps.

Had a CT scan this morning,19 May 2023. Just want to say how amazing the staff were. I was very nervous but they were both so reassuring and kind. It was so appreciated. Thank you so much.

  3. Review titled Great treatment poor follow up

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Ian Ash - Posted on 17 April 2023

I had 2 cancerous growths surgically removed and was very happy with that phase. The treatment has two further phases lasting a further 4 months, which I have to do myself. I have some queries and just can not get an answer to the phone, so can't start phase 2 of the treatment

  4. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Kate Atherton - Posted on 11 March 2023

I had an appointment booked for 1615 on Saturday 11 March. Got a phone call that morning to ask if I could come in early, at 12 noon. I turned up at 1150, to be told that no, there was no appointment, the clinic had been cancelled, I'd get another appointment in due course. I don't live particularly close to the hospital so it was very frustrating to have driven over there early, as requested, to be sent home again. The person on reception who gave me the information was also unhelpful and indifferent. Disappointing.

  5. Review titled Poorly managed

Rated 3 stars out of 5

The medical care is wonderful but management is so poor that the service is almost unusable. I was supposed to be followed up in Sept 2022 but an appointment never arrived. I chased and was given an appointment in February. Turned up to find it had been cancelled without warning and still not got a reschedule.

  6. Review titled Highly Professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Gieler - Posted on 17 February 2023

I was treated in the Dermatology department recently. I attended for a biopsy and was greatly impressed by the professionalism, efficiency, punctuality and above all friendly treatment I received. I was made to feel totally at ease and the rational explanation for treatment was clear and thorough. I cannot recommend the department more highly. Excellent throughout. Thank you.

  7. Review titled Minor procedure for growth on nose

    by Peter L. - Posted on 02 February 2023

I went to GP about a small growth on my nose which may not be cancer but with my sun worshipping history was worth checking out. Within days I had an appointment at Amersham Skin Care Hospital, where as a precaution I was referred to an appointment to have it removed. Within days I was given an appointment. I arrived a little early but was seen within minutes. The two staff were incredible, friendly and reassuring. (I can't remember their names) They were efficient and thorough, professional and informative. One of my better life experiences, thank you.

  8. Review titled The Staff are Brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carl Hughes - Posted on 16 January 2023

Came on a dermatology referral today and I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff. From the reception staff, to the doctor, to the staff that took photos, and to the nurses who carried out a minor biopsy. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly and made the whole process seamless. Your work is very much appreciated. Thank you.

  9. Review titled Excellent and rapid treatment

by PDJG - Posted on 23 December 2022

A couple of weeks ago I realised that a follow-up appointment had not been received, so I rang the department for an update. The receptionist checked my details and then offered me an appointment for the following day, which I gladly accepted. I was seen on time, as usual, by a very nice doctor who went through all my previous and current symptoms and then confirmed the diagnosis with a colleague. They then treated some areas of concern, and also discussed results from a previous surgery with me. Let's be honest, nobody likes having things wrong, but every time I have been to Amersham/Stoke Mandeville/Wycombe for skin issues, I have always received excellent and rapid treatment. Keep up the good work, you know who you are, and see you again in six months.
