Review titled Wonderful care and thorough surveillance.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Glyn - Posted on 05 February 2024
Four years ago an endoscopy revealed a small lump in my esophagus. The endoscopy department asked me back for regular examinations to ensure there were no changes in this lesion. I was discharged today, and I really appreciate the care I have been given. There is a warm, positive and calming atmosphere in this department, and the staff are adept at putting you at ease. I feel relieved today and want to say thank you.

I had to attend accident and emergency as i am currently pooping blood. 9 hours waiting with people lieing on the floor and see noone for more than a heart rate check. not asked a single question then told to go wait again. Given up on our NHS services. 18+ months for mentle health waiting lists, 18 years for AnE wait rooms. Given up now so lets see how pooping blood without any medical health service to use goes. Thank you NHS for the great welcoming useful service. 10/10 would poop blood again

Excellent staff, care given and very well organised couldn’t fault our experience The Countess of Chester A&E needs to take note how Arrow Parks run their A&E department.

Review titled Fobbed off again
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I waited since June 23 for a consultant appointment here re nerve pain issue with my neck. I saw the back specialist and despite an excellent assessment was referred for an MRI scan. This took another Month and then afterwards another 3 weeks for follow up, was told nothing could be done surgically so only option was another referral at private clinic for a pain relieving injection. It's now Jan 22nd and I have not been seen. So 7 Months since seeing my GP am have not had any treatment. Considering I have paid £1855 national insurance since June 23, of which some has to have been for the NHS, I am not exactly impressed. The words "lost in the system" come to mind. I would have been better off paying for private treatment because I have had none yet. I guess there are thousands of other people who are in a worse state than me, getting seen quicker.

Review titled Sympathetic caring staff showing Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anne Carr - Posted on 28 March 2024
I was accompanying my mother who was 83 years of age and was admitted with delirium . It was reassuring to have such excellent assessment and care by all the team at the A and E department . This followed through to majors and the elderly assessment ward and finally ward 25. The whole multidisciplinary team were excellent. All the team were caring especially the nurses. She went on to have a good recovery and is at home with her family at the moment. This weekend was particularly busy as the young doctors were on strike. This did not impact my mother’s care and treatment . Thank you all so much with grateful thanks from my mother and family . You all do an excellent job of care .

Review titled Poor Standards - Is the wfh Culture a reason for this?

I find it hard to believe that on two instances, today 02/02/2024 and last Friday my attempts to make contact by telephone, with specific departments at Arrowe Park Hospital have been to no avail. This being despite the continual information that my call is very important to you, and that my call will answered in the order in which it was received. I am time and again told of the importance of my call and to hold whilst you transfer (again) the call, to the next available representative. Being in my eighty-first year a can recall the days of telephone operators - and the efficiency and speed, they were able to route your call to where it could be handled in a similar manner. I am currently hanging up my call 01.06.48hrs. In a few words, the service is Not Fit For Purpose.

My mum was brought in by Paramedics/Ambulance and we both spent 10+ hours in the corridor on a Trolley. . Nothing moved until morning . It was heartbreaking to see my mum and others deteriorate with no care. I believe my mum developed sepsis due to a minor water infection whilst waiting
